^some songs yes. but charlie brown is a "coldplay classic" (along the lines of In My Place IMO) But I think HLH is a "coldplay classic" aswell. not very many people see HLH this way...:\

i think the itunes plug described these songs simply because these are the ones that have been officially released or performed on television. usually itunes will mention the better songs (not taking anything away from HLH/CB) of the album, but obviously alot of songs are still a mystery. i'm sure their album description will change once the actual album drops oct 24

this song does its job in a concept album. it introduces the girl character with decent lyrics, although yes, the lyrics lack depth. nevertheless, the lyrics themselves are good, there just isn't many words in the song. its also paired with a solid instramental that grows on me the more i listen to it. plus, Johnny Boy's solo is awesome as always. and, great bass line aswell. will's drums fit the song, so i dont see how you could criticize that. its a great way of introducing the girl character:)

Will--in some aspects--is contributing more than ever. His backing vocals are everywhere (which i like). And, HELLO.... Us Against The World? Will is the star of that song

people loved the beatles so much for their experimentation. thats what coldplay is trying to do. i admire them for their courage:smug:

about the "coldplay only version", how do you know this?

only a few days, and we've gone from "yay! 14 tracks!" to "F COLDPLAY":thinking:

certainly there are similarities in the album cover art (between Achtung Baby and Mylo Xyloto)

great article. i am very very VERY worried right now. I have been coldplay:24-7 ever since i heard the rumors that lp5 would drop christmas, 2010. and now, all this madness... however, this article convinced me that this album could still be great.:) so far the tracks: MX, HLH, CB, UATW, PoC, MM, i have all loved. large chunk of the album, so perhaps this will be Achtung Baby:)

I'm a newer coldplayer... i joined june this year. was there this much negative reactions to the begginings of the other album(s)? or is this seriously the worst reception amongst coldplay fans for a new album ever? if someone could sincerly fill me in on what i could be missing from past releases, i would love to know. thanks
