which twitter feed are u looking at? most of the tweets ive seen are very much positive and most of the comments in forums on the internet (ATRL.net, reddit, kanyetothe, etc.,) are extremely positive.

if the FIRST SINGLE will be awesome as everyone is expecting.. imagine how awesome the SECOND SINGLE will be ;) ;) ;) ;) ;)

maybe it's because its not really the first single off the new album.. it's like "always im my head" debuting for the first time.. it wasnt the highlight and the mainstream press wasnt that keen on it wen it first debuted live

I would like to disagree with people here who says POC is so mainstream. aside from Rihanna, the rest of POC does not sound like anything else in the mainstream. In fact i have not heard any other song that sounds like POC.

Artists like Brandy, Ed Sheeran, and the like cite coldplay as an influence. Timbaland once told MTV in an interview that "He only wants to work with Coldplay". I think it's about time for people to realize that, despite the fact that they arent radiohead, they have been shaping our musical landscape for the past 15 years.

Hell, most music critics right now have said that U2's most recent album (Songs of innocence) sounds just like coldplay. Most music critics even compare the melody/riff of their 2nd single "every breaking wave" with Coldplay's Paradise. Coldplay's sound is already an institution; its an adverb. adjective already.

I agree with u. you have great points. However, in my opinion, whether bohemian rhapsody is better than viva is a different debate. my point is, viva la vida is a classic song and will be remembered and celebrated my future generations to come. so yeah, congrats to coldplay for crafting such. :) :)

I constantly hear Viva la vida being played in most sports stadiums both in the US and in europe.. i hear the radio still spinning viva la vida, most peoople i know think highly of viva la vida.. so yep.. in decade or so, people would see viva la vida as a timeless classic on par with bohemian rhapsody etc.
