  1. hey, I got into the show! I was searching through all the tweets on twitter tagged as 'coldplay' and I saw a tweet that said this guy had a spare ticket to the show. We communicated back and forth and I met him at a train station and then walked together to the venue. This was all about 1 hour before the doors opened so I was incredibly lucky! It is was truly amazing and a night i'll never forget but here are just a few comments. 1. After the broadcast ended, they played two kylie Minogue songs and then Fix You. I've been to quite a few concerts and it was quite obvious that people wanted more. Even after the original encore and after the encore after the broadcast finished, people were quite hesitant to leave their positions. When I was walking out I heard at least three different people say things like "That wasn't long enough" or "Is that it?". For me, it was more than enough. The energy and enthusiasm throughout the whole show never dropped once and when it finished I felt satisfied with the length of the show. Also, they didn't stick around to talk to fans after the show either and they had The Voice to film the next day so maybe there was a bit of a rush 2. When Kylie Minogue came out, people seemed thrilled but I think the general vibe dropped a whole lot when she started singing. Especially during ICGYOOMH, which is quite a pop-ish song, people just weren't that excited. I, myself, was quite bored and just wanted her off the stage. I definitely would have rather heard two more Coldplay songs than the two she played. 3. The sound and lighting was incredibly. I think the best and most unique part of being in such a small venue was that you could literally feel the ground and your body vibrating from the bass. The lighting was incredible and the quality of the sound was great. I've seen them two other times but this was by far the best concert I've been to.
  2. This sucks, tried both the presale and general sale and didn't get them.
  3. I'm really in love with the recording style and the harmonising of Ezra and Rostam's voices. It's just something about their sound as band that sounds really refreshing. Worship You (I really want to hear this live) and Don't Lie are the stand outs for me :)

It's really nice to read everyones thoughts and it's got me thinking about mine. The first post couldn't have explained it better and i partly agree with it. 16 months on, and i've found myself discarding most MX songs when casually flicking through Coldplay's discography. When MX came out, it was fresh and new and exciting but for me personally, it has worn off quite fast unlike songs from the Viva and A Rush of Blood era. Looking at the album now, I think it's a worthy addition to their discography. Sure, it's not one of their most solid all-round albums but it's still really good. I disagree with those saying that it was over produced as i think for their music to compliment the album's message, it couldn't be raw like Parachutes. It'll be extremely interesting what happens with the next album. To me, i think the boys are not ones to be in denial about their feelings towards MX so it'll be interesting to see their response.
  5. Last tuesday after the Huawei live stream, Will and Guy did an interview on 2dayfm (in Australia) and at the very end, the interviewer said "I cannot wait to hear the songs you're writing next year".
  6. ugh, from an australian's point of view, i didn't really expect anything else from these two people. They're widely known to be obsessively obnoxious and I can assure you the majority of Australian's don't listen to their morning show. They're only still on air because they're controversial and pretty mean (They once asked teenage girl about being raped while taking a lie detector test, They called a journalist fat and other names etc.) If you want to hear a good radio show, listen to Hamish and Andy.
  7. ^wow, that's early...about 10 and a half hours before the gates open. Good thing i'm leaving in about an hour!
  8. Thanks for the amazing pictures tash :) I'll be getting there at 9am to line up. I'll be posting all my text and photo updates to my Coldplay tumblr blog. http://www.cmgbjbwc.tumblr.com/
  9. Seems like November 14 for Australia :) http://villagecinemas.com.au/Movies/Coldplay-Live-2012.htm
  10. For such an up beat and exciting song that has the potential to have kind of a really electric music video, it's kind of a let down. For me, it's way too static and flat.
  11. hi :) Could you please take me off the list for my 'Have tickets to sell' and 'want tickets' requests thanks!
  12. Pre-ordered it about an hour after the announcement :) Really can't wait and from the 16th to the 18th of november will be the best 3 days ever! 16th: Coldplay DVD (I live in Australia) 17th: Coldplay concert 1 18th: Coldplay concert 2
  13. Personally, i don't think they are on purpose in the sense that they would literally screw up a song at a certain time that either Chris or the guys have staged/talked about because that's ridiculous. I think they have these screw ups because they generally always happen in every show however they've now (especially Chris) become more open about them and feel like they can admit them to the audience because they've realised that they're quite entertaining. So no, it's not on purpose. They're just admitting their mistakes a lot more often now.
  14. Thank you so much for your opinions. I'm going to go to the second show now. Like you've all said, I'd most likely regret it if i didn't :) thanks!
  15. Hey everyone :) This is more of a question than a though When Coldplay come to Sydney they'll be playing two shows...i already have a ticket of the first show but my friend has a spare ticket for the second show soooo i was just wondering If you had the chance, would you see them two nights in a row or would you rather have just one extremely magical night that you can call the best night of your life aha? btw, this'll be the first time i'm seeing them. I'm kind of unsure so any opinion would be really helpful :)
  16. wow, i really can't wait to read the whole series. Seems like such an amazing story and i wonder if Chris is using this album and era as a metaphor for the current world we live in? who knows but anyway, i can't help but think about the British artist named Xylo because after seeing this his works and the meaning of them/the message he's portraying fits into the comic book story line quite well.
  17. I love this line... "Let's just say that each Hypnofeed helmet only has one camera lens to show each wearer the world around them safely depicted in black and white. Those camera feeds aren't just directed inside the user's helmet...". You probably think i'm crazy but i think this kinda links back in with the artist 'Xylo' and his art works that essentially addresses the idea of the government being a 'big brother' and controlling the way we think about world issues. "Those camera feeds aren't just directed inside the user's helmet..."...I still think that there is some connection between the story and the artist Xylo.
  18. Architecture :) Started this year.

^^I found it confusing at first as well but it'll seem really really simple after a while :)
  20. A few days ago phil mentioned on twitter that the estimates of the cost of each wristband was exaggerated by the media. Do you think it really costs 400000 pounds per night now like Jonny?
  21. ^aha, yes me either. It was such a stupid bet but he did win in 3 :P Started with $10 at the start of the French Open and i'm now up to $84.22....Just a whole lot of luck and risks because i hardly ever do sports betting. Anyway, taken a huge risk and put $50 on Ferrer (vs Murray) at $1.57. Murray's partly injured even though he has seemed to have gotten over most of the pain and i'm counting on Ferrer's never give up attitude to get him through. Hope for the best!!! :)
  22. Any tennis enthusiasts here? I put an $18 bet on Murray to win in 3 sets at $2.50. lol, i did it when i was half asleep so i didn't even know he was injured. Here's hoping for the best!!! He's up 6-3, 4-3 with a break right now.
  23. ah, didn't win the eBay auction :\ Still on the lookout for 1 Oval A ticket for Sydney the 18th :)
  24. aha, you should just go by yourself :) there's nothing wrong with that.
  25. ^^aha, yes, i've been messaging him and well, trying to sweet talk him :P It's an auction though and it has 4 days left. I've put a bid down for $155 so hopefully no one else sees the listing in the next few days :)
