  1. Thank you guys very much! @Rvs_009, I somehow had to swallow when I read your post. Thank you :D
  2. Hey there, some of you guys may know that I'm having this weakness for tour edits and rare versions (the Glastonbury-Don't-Panic, the Viva-La-Vida-Talk and the We-Found-Love from BBC). Following this line I have made another cover. Almost at the same time with the 10th anniversary, here it is, my way of celebrating the greatest band and one of their 5 greatest albums ever. [ame=http://soundcloud.com/never-thought-about-names/a-rush-of-blood-to-the-head]A Rush Of Blood To The Head (Coldplay Cover) by Lois Lakewood on SoundCloud - Create, record and share your sounds for free[/ame] I hope you enjoy it and I am really looking forward to your feedback! Cheers, David
  3. Thank you Coldplay for holding me in your arms for 10 years now. As a tribute, I have made this cover of A Rush Of Blood To The Head, based on the live-version from the A Rush Of Blood To The Head tour. I hope you enjoy it! 4. Thanks for your feedback! Well, in almost all of my records I find myself in this stupid timing thing. Even though I have about one year recording experience and I'm recording with metronomes and playbacks, I mostly can't get rid of these timing problems.
  5. Wow, amazing. I was looking for a GT-20 since I first heard of it's existence :D Congrats!
  6. Hey guys, It's been a while since my last post here so I thought I'd give you a new song. A few weeks ago, I finished my cover of Coldplay's cover of Rihanna's We Found Love. I wanted to get some feedback from you guys! So, here it is: http://soundcloud.com/never-thought-about-names/we-found-love/ In my opinion, it's one of the best things I've done yet but I am really looking forward to your feedback! Cheers, David
  7. @pianomartin: No, you don't. As many many many many many many many many people have mentioned before you said you have THE answers and then came up with 2 options of which you weren't pretty sure which one is the right, Chris is using a digital piano, the GT20 for the mainstage perfomances and for the B-Stage it might be another one. What nobody mentioned before, his piano is actually too small to be an acoustic one. The strings do need some space to sound good and I have never seen such a small acoustic piano before. It also would cause alot more trouble touring with an acoustic piano, you would have to tune it, it's much heavier, would sound different on different tour legs (think of the huge climatic differencies between Europe, North America, Australia, Asia...) and might get a worse sound if you paint it (like Chris does it very often). It is also easy to see that his piano has no strings inside if you watch Fix You from the MTV Worldstage record.
  8. It's the same version they played at the Grammys this year, we already had a thread in which we actually came pretty close to the original. Just search for it.
  9. Hey everyone, still got one standing ticket for tomorrows show at the Emirates! Please PM!
  10. Anybody here whos still looking for a standing ticket tomorrow? Please let me know!
  11. Hey there! I have another General Admission ticket for Firday, 1st June at the Emirates. Bought it without thinking and now I can't go. Face Value, but ticket has to be collected from the Ticketbox at the venue. I have managed everything with Gigsandtours so that it's fine that someone else can collect the ticket. Please PM me!
  12. The stage setup looks gorgeous. Can't wait to see them in Europe!
  13. Hey Jenjie, could you please update the first post? My tickets are standing tickets, not seated. Thank you! :)
  15. Hi everyone, I have 2 (or maybe 3, depends on if I'm going alone or not) for the show on June 4 at the Emirates. Pitch Standing/Level 1 unreserved seating. If theres anyone interesed, I would also like to go with someone here (especially someone from Germany). PM me! -------- sold!
  16. Yes, I did this. And then I sold your compilation of Am, D and Em to famous bands. I also sold the record of joezcool's dad to Coldplay. Luckily, the ambient noise of the record was so heavy that we didn't even had to add or edit anything! The record on the album is a 1:1 copy!
  17. For some reasons I have deactivated my facebook account and I don't really want to reactivate it. Anyways, I'm still interested in this project.
  18. I don't see anything. You should check your post for a missing link.
  19. Can you send me the single tracks for Leave The Floor in high-quality, e.g. .wav or something? I could imagine some remix thing and would like to try it out. PM me for my email address.
  20. I am interested in doing originals!
  21. Your solution and my solution are almost the same, expect that I said that he should only buy one adapter instead of an adapter and a new cable. And there are some ways to improve this simple recording method, e.g. by using the line output of your guitar amp and not your guitar (which means the signal is preamped and you can use some effects of your guitar amp) and you could use another software; Audacity is a good choice if you want to keep it totally free.
  22. You can make it a bit cheaper by buying an adapter for jack to mini jack. You can save the extra cable and use your guitar cable. Though this direct-input-to-iphone or whatever solution isn't a pretty good idea, if you really want to do it this way you can save up a few dollars for the extra cable. Do you have a guitar amp with a line out?
  23. Depending on the things I've seen in this forum, I'd say splintercell37 is definitely one of the most experienced producers here, so if he accepts, I suggest he's one of the leaders. I'd say we should do it the following way: We find some "leaders" or producers or whatever (I guess 2 or 3 should be enough) and those producers tell us some of their ideas what they want to do, e.g. a rock song or something alternative or whatever. Then the musicians can say "I want to participate in this song" blahblah and the producers can tell whether they want them to join their song or not. By the way, if we don't have enough people who can do the producing-thing; I'm still learning this stuff, but I could do some of this work.
  24. By the way, why didn't you include me for guitar? :)
