  1. strange one, only wanted to post it once. sorry.
  2. I've bought mine on Amazon, publisher was Music Sales. Parachutes, A Rush Of Blood To The Head and X&Y all got chords, tunings and tabs (and the sheet music, of course), Viva La Vida and Prospekt's March, however, not (even though it's the same publisher). They only got the chords and the sheet music. I also got [ame=http://www.amazon.com/Coldplay-Little-Songbook-Chords-Lyrics/dp/1847720137/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1315267761&sr=8-1]this one[/ame], it features chords, tunings and lyrics (but no tabs). I would recommend them all, especially for Parachutes/AROBTTH and X&Y.
  3. In my opinion the heavy reverb is a little bit disturbing and your voice could be a bit louder, but well done! I like the second voice. Wanted to do a cover of uatw, too, but for any reason I haven't done it yet...
  4. Anyone else? :)
  5. I've done this a few weeks ago.
  6. I'd say Such A Rush and.. I have no idea about the second one.
  7. Hi guys, I recorded this a while ago but didn't want to make it public. Just found it, listened to it and thought it's not that bad and deserves some feedback of you guys. After seeing timewarp's perfomance I thought "well, how bad can it be?" :D (Sorry mate, just kidding ;)) Anyways, I know about the timing trouble, especially in the beginning (where I think it's really disturbing, in the other parts it's okay), it's because of a technical issue (and probably a little bit because the last time I played more than one audio-line was a long time ago when I recorded this). The kind of feedback I would like to hear isn't why it's not as good as the original (like oh it's too fast (yes, I also know about that :P) or "you should've played Fm7 instead of Fm"). The main thing I would like to hear some feedback about is my voice and my singing (which are two different things, I guess). Thank you very much! (And always keep in mind that I am not Chris Martin :P) http://soundcloud.com/never-thought-about-names/politik-coldplay-cover
  8. I was at Rock Am Ring ( it was raining so hard during Every Teardrop Is A Waterfall, nobody was able to see anything :D), saw the Glastonbury- and the iTunes-Gig live but I never noticed that. Amazing :D Yes, he uses a Loop-Effect, you can see (and hear) it @1:40 [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tB-GWZl1fVM]Coldplay - " Every Teardrop is a Waterfall " ( Mylo Xyloto ) HQ Live @ Rock am Ring Festival:Germany - YouTube[/ame]
  9. I like Godsend, your voice (if it's you singing) is really good, it has something special. I didn't like leave the floor, the recording (or mixing) quality (especially of the drum) is really bad, it kinda sounds like a piece of mud (only the record itself, I'm not judging the song). However, these songs didn't sound Coldplay-influenced to me at all.
  10. No one is judging you and you shouldn't ask for feedback if you don't want to hear it. princesanji just said that there are lots of people who only play the chords and that your strumming pattern isn't correct (which is both true). Could anyone explain why it's called Wills part? As far as I know, Will is playing drums on this song, or are there any insider-interview-informations (did anyone notice this great alliteration?) I don't know about?
  11. A Will Champion with 6 arms and 4 legs would be useful.
  12. Oh, okay, well like I said, I'm not sure about my bass tab, it sounded good to me and I only did it for the record and then thought why not put it on ultimate guitar (I think it's still about 200% better than the average tabs posted on ultimate-guitar, just look at the other chord versions of major minus, they don't even have correct lyrics..). If I ever do a new record of this song, I'll play it your way :D
  13. Uhm well, it doesn't sound too high for me and you can see that Chris is playing it that high in the live videos (I'm not 100% sure but I think). I don't know how you played it, does it sound like my record? (Don't worry, I'm not singing on that one :P)
  14. You have to get over that "oh I really suck"-phase. If you really think you're that bad, then don't perform in public. If you're just not sure about if you're good or not, then you should say it like that and not like "oh I'm so bad", to me it seems like you're begging for compliments. Like Cleggy said, there is better and there is worse and most of the bad parts you've done are because you were nervous. Get 100% sure about your singing and your playing and you will be able to handle better when you're feeling nervous.
  15. i've done this bass tab for major minus on ultimate-guitar. I'd say it's not 100% correct (or maybe it's missing some notes) but it sounds pretty good to me, I would appreciate it if you could rate it if you like it. :) UATW and HLH are not really hard to hear, you could try to figure them out by yourself, I think the same goes for Charlie Brown but I'm not sure about that right now..
  16. the hat is the deciding point.
  17. I don't see why it's neccessary to say it that way and why it's so hard to judge a cover (it's a cover, not a remake) without expecting it to be better than the original. I also think he really could improve his playing and singing (although I like the alternate chords), but I don't think it's that bad (and even if I would, I wouldn't say it like you did.)
  18. Yeah, trying to "rebuild" Wills drumset will cost you a lot of money and I would not recommend buying an expensive drumset before you found your own sound.
  19. Why not? :D What really improved my singing: I bought some recording equipment a few days ago and so I can hear myself singing now (what the mic records is different from what you hear). I was really surprised, I was sometimes really out of tune when I thought I was in tune, but I can handle that now. This is what I did but this is.. uhm, well, not really the cheapest way.
  20. Can you upload some pictures?
  21. Really great work. I think I'll try that with my GRG170DX, although it's black. I'm not playing it anyways, so I guess it won't hurt that much if I'm going to fail :D
  22. BUT even if I'm wrong once again... my chords are right :D
  23. It's Bb, Eb in the verse, the "you use your heart as a weapon" is F, Eb and then (and it hurts like heaven) Bb And the "it's true" part is Dm, (yeah you) F (you use your heart as weapon) Eb (and it hurts like heaven) Bb
  24. Congrats to your healthy hair. :D Did you record the piano versions with your notebook? The notebook's fan (I guess it's your notebook's fan, tell me if I'm wrong) is disturbing, you could avoid that by buying an external mic, maybe a cheap one or an external webcam with a built-in microphone (would be the same but with less background noise)
