Mose's Tabs Continued (Complete Us Against the World Tab inside)
If you're having problems with the thumb-chords you can play them without the thumb, i.e. F would be x3321x (or x33210), you can learn it better like that. If you get those chords easy, you could try to learn the minor chords (i.e. Fm: x3322x) and if you're good at them you can add the thumb. It's pretty easy then and the chords won't sound wrong without the thumb. Have you tried a right-handed guitar? I'm also left handed but playing the guitar is actually only a thing of practising and it might occur that theres no difference if you're beginning to play. You should try it out, if you're used to a right-handed guitar it's probably much easier. Edit: Woops, just read your answer. If you're such a beginner, start learning the basics first! Simple chords such as A, C, D, E, G (and their minors) first, then F and B (they're a bit harder) and if you're good at the barree-thing, you can try out new things. Also: Do a lot of finger training, it really helps. By the way: Sorry for massive off-topic, I'll just pretend I haven't read the subject. :P

The SCIENTIST COVER!!! WATCH!!
I guess the reason why it's sometimes neccessary to change a perfect song is: it's perfect. Trying to cover a song (especially Coldplay) 1:1 is probably going to fail.

Share Music You Or Someone You Know Has Made
Yes, you're right, the tuning is almost similar tot he one Chris uses for God Put A Smile Upon Your Face and so is the first chord. Anyways, I figured out the tuning and the chords by myself so I think it's okay to post it as own work. :D

Share Music You Or Someone You Know Has Made
is my recently opened soundcloud page, everything is still work in progress, especially the "Recorded During A Thunderstorm", which I just recorded when I was playing along. /recorded-during-a-thunderstorm

Need help writing songs!
I totally agree with QuestionsOfScience. I'm not that experienced in songwriting (truly said, I haven't finished one song yet but sometimes they we're almost what I'd say is good :P) but I think what really helps is just write down everything, what you really feel, what you think and all that stuff. Even if it sounds just crappy or you don't have the melody for that, if you got one you can always look up what you wrote and you might find a good line.

Violet hill guitar chords and tunning 100% correct
You can see guitar tunings when looking at a guitar? Watch from 0:10, you will see that Johnny uses Drop-D and plays what I said. Guy uses standard tuning and also plays what I said. The reason is: Changing bass tunings does not make any sense (except where it makes sense but as you don't play full chords it almost never does). AND you can see that Guy doesn't change his bass after Violet Hill, so he plays the other songs with the same tuning he plays Violet Hill. I've got to say that I haven't watched the video when I wrote my first post and.. I'm wrong :O but you're also, so I'm okay with it :P If you watch the video you posted above or the Live In Tokyo record, you can hear that Chris plays what I said when playing this part first (You can hear it really clear in Live In Tokyo). The other times he plays F#m, Fm, Em like you said and then goes over to Ebm in the 11th fret. You can see that on your video when you go to 1:45. (And you still can hear that he plays 4 chords and not only 3)

Charlie Brown Tone
Johnny uses a heavy reverb on most of the songs, sometimes a quiet (or even a louder) delay in the back. The Boss RV-5 does such a reverb, Johnny has one but I'm not sure if this is what he uses or if it's a multi-effect he has in a rack.

Violet hill guitar chords and tunning 100% correct
The verse part after the A isn't only Fm#, Fm, Em. It's played one octave higher as powerchord and then F#, F, E, Eb (while Johnny uses Drop-D tuning and plays the same chords like 444, 333, 222, 111; Guy plays the same notes as Chris)

VIVA LA VIDA TOUR EQUIPMENT LIST
Yes, they do use samples on some songs. In Life In Technicolor and I in Viva La Vida, I'm not sure about other songs but I think there are some more. Edit: I just listened to the few bootlegs I got, there are also some samples in Strawberry Swing. Most of the other effects are made by Jonnys guitar (he uses some really epic reverbs) or the synths they use(d) onstage (did they also use them when playing the festivals?)

I THINK LP5 WILL BE CALLED 'MYLO XYLOTO'...
Guys, stop guessing and expecting anything. This will only lead us into a lot of people screaming up that they don't like any new song they bring out (what happened when Every Teardrop Is A Waterfall came out). Also, did you also ask Eugène Delacroix if hes a good friend of Coldplay or what? Remember when Every Teardrop Is A Waterfall came out, one day earlier some of you guessed it is called Trapezes. This shows that Coldplay won't bring out something we can find out before it comes out.

Woops. Sorry. :D Now it makes sense.

I need performing tips
I would not recommend perfoming The Scientist, Clocks, Fix You or Politik if it's only a single person perfoming. Unless you can't work out a special version, those songs will not sound good without other instruments. Especially The Scientist has no real melodic changes except more instruments coming in. Clocks has a few parts with only bass and drums, Politik and Fix You will lose their power if you only use an organ or piano. Lost?, however, is a pretty good idea, as well as Death And All His Friends, but I also wouldn't recommend Death And All His Friends if you're not a very good singer or whatever-player (have you mentioned if you're playing piano/guitar/etc. yet?) as you will have to replace the power of 3 other instruments with your voice and the instrument you're playing. Don't take it as offensive, but why should he do two voices during Us Against The World? This part is pretty hard to sing, yes, but if he's perfoming alone he probably won't sing Wills part or am I getting it wrong?

I need performing tips
Oh, I forgot to tell you: Make sure you can hear yourself loud enough when playing/singing. If you don't, you may be surprised when you realize that you sometimes don't hit the notes (it is very difficult to sing without hearing yourself trough a monitoring system). You can also "feel" if you're close enough (or maybe too close) to the mic if you hear yourself. (If it's not loud enough, get closer etc., I think this is self-explanatory, but just in case it's not; now it is ;D)

Sing as close as you can to that mic, you can even (if it's your own mic, otherwise there might be someone whos not a real fan of your slobber in his mic ;D) touch it with your mouth. If the mic is set up well, this will avoid popping-sounds. It's easier to do it like that than turn to the side like princesanji mentioned. Trying to avoid such sounds with the turn-aside-method will require you to know the mic and in what position your voice doesn't get too quiet and the popping sound is not too heavy. You should never think away the audience; the audience is the "receiver" of everything you're doing and technically you're doing it to entertain those guys. Speaking to them might get you more familiar with them and this can also make it easier.

Cover of Charlie Brown
I like your cover and I don't really think that your accent is a problem, although it's there. But this can make your own songs to something special, of course only if the listener likes it. About the timing thing: I also had this problem when I started recording more than only my guitar and I realized that it's mostly bad monitoring. You should try adjusting the monitor volumes and then listen properly to what you recorded previously while recording something new. If you're recording a cover, I recommend you to only use the original song as monitoring sound. However, keep on doing what you do, it's good and could get even better.

Hurts Like Heaven Chords
Gosh, just smashed my D string. The good elixir one :( Would you mind me posting this on ultimate guitar, of course saying it was figured out by you?
