Hey. I couldnt find a similair thread so i made this one! Below, rate the following Coldplay songs from 1-10 that I have chosen! I put my mark in brackets They are: Death and all his Friends (me - 8) The Scientist (10) 42 (8) Moving to Mars (8) Lovers in Japan (7) Major Minus (8) Charlie Brown (10) Shiver (7) Politik (7) Fix You (9) What would you rate these songs? :)

Errr this is a hard one. My favourite song is ETIAW but lyrically I love Charlie Brown! I have to say all of Charlie Brown, especially the "Light a fire" part!

Best coldplay song ever honestly. It sends shivers (no pun intended :L) down my spine in the live version! The intro is amazing, and (live) when he introduces Johnny he does some shouting/singing and that just makes me go "hdsjdsdsh NEED.STUDIO.VERSION!" :)

Alright, it seems Wilderness and Want are both not Coldplay songs at all then. Sorry guys, what a waste of writing I just did! :(

It says in the article i linked in my post that the song is her having a dig at an ex husband, but in the songwriting credentials it says he also co wrote it (Daniel Johns) :inquisitive: :\:confused:

I did a bit of background research on the songs and I found this about Want: -Want is a song by Natalie Imbruglia, and it was written by Chris Martin! He gave it to her and said that it is probably the best work he has ever written (according to http://www.thesun.co.uk/sol/homepage/showbiz/bizarre/2585035/Coldplay-want-best-for-Natalie-Imbruglia.html) Now i don't know now if the song is registered as a coldplay song, because i don't think it is actually a CP song. It was just registered as being written by Chris, so I think we can cancel want off of the list of new songs and consider it a blip. I thought coldplay might sample it, but no. Sorry about that. I'll look into Wilderness a bit later.

Using google/itunes/youtube and the list from Marchez94, i've uncovered possible new song titles Wilderness Want These 2 are registered with similair registry numbers as the rest (Wilderness - 12805743 // Want - 11716368) Want is listed as having Gary Clark and Natalie Imbruglia as songwriters, and also Daniel Paul Johns along with Chris. Sampling? I can't find a Coldplay song anywhere called want at all. Wilderness includes Chris as songwriter along with Tom Douglas and Faith P Hill. I think Wilderness could be one as it links in a bit to ETIAW (all the trees are gone) but Want i'm slightly unsure about. I really hope that all these songs we've been hearing about (UWTB, Want & Wilderness) aren't all sampling, like viva and ETIAW. I really hope it's original. Please correct me if i'm wrong, but Want & Wilderness aren't coldplay songs already, right?

Possibly. But Chris registered Mylo Xyloto as a song, it even had songwriting credentials AFAIK, and live MX is just a 40 second instrumental. I have a feeling it's separate.

I'm not sure if I should make a thread about this yet, but I think we have enough song information to start discussing what songs will be on the album, what will fit in, what won't etc. and any other opinions on the album. I couldn't find a specific thread about this anywhere (please correct me if there is) and the only place I could discuss tracklisting is on each seperate song thread :( I'll start. I think it will have 12 tracks, like this: 1. MX 2. Hurts Like Heaven 3. Up with the Birds 4. Princess of China 5. Major Minus 6. Us Against The World 7. Moving to Mars 8. Mylo Xyloto 9. Major Minus 10. Charlie Brown (PKA Cartoon Heart) 11. U.F.O 12. Every Teardrop is a Waterfall I know we aren't aware of every single song yet, but I am basing some of it on assumed song titles, like Mylo Xyloto, Up with the Birds and U.F.O. Hi! I'm Jack, and I signed up to CPing yesterday! I really like coldplay a lot, but Muse is my favourite band of all time! I am looking forward to the new Coldplay album (refer to my sig). My favourite album is probably Viva la Vida, and my fave CP songs are (according to iTunes): Every Teardrop is a Waterfall, Fix You, The Scientist, Major Minus, Moving to Mars, In My Place, 42, Yellow, Violet Hill and Strawberry Swing. I also quite like the songs Death and all his Friends, Viva la Vida, Lost! and Life in Technicolor ii. I am yet to see Coldplay live and I'll be waiting for the announcement! Cheers, Jack

Hmm this make a lot of sense. R42 (I think) posted a pic of one of the band playing a xylophone on twitter - Xylo-Xylophones etc. if you know what I mean. Could be a hint??

I thought Princess of China was a hidden track from the Viva la Vida era :/
