Frank Ocean on his mixtape did a cover of "Strawberry Swing", or rather his own version. Probably already known around these parts, but to those who haven't heard it, here it is: [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mvFtbjIngkY]Frank Ocean - Strawberry Swing (Full Version) (No Tags) (Normal speed and length) - YouTube[/ame]

Paradise US sales update
^ True. I'm in Toronto and I never really got the Coldplay hate from people here. People here like them or are just neutral on them for the most part. Never really met anyone who hates them.

I'd say CB, Para, and VLV in that order. How many songs did Mumford and Sons play?

Coldplay sales Updates
Yeah, for 18 weeks (pretty much 4 months) to be in the top 10 in worldwide sales is pretty good. The Tour starts next month and that should help to stabilize sales. Also side note: For this week in WW sales, Whitney Houston has three albums in the top 10, pretty crazy. Additionally, all the other albums in the top 10 have just recently come out within the past month (except Adele).

Why Charlie Brown is not in the Graffiti Wall?
This site says March 11th. http://www.capitalfm.com/music-news/future-releases/ Though this is just UK, I am wondering when there will be a worldwide release date or north american release date

Coldplay sales Updates
After the Brits, this is the result of sales in the UK: MX at 6 in the Albums Chart (last week it was 11) Paradise at 23 in the Singles Chart (last week it was 24) Charlie Brown at 30 in the Singles Chart (last week it was 115) "Coldplay’s pyrotechnic-filled show opener Charlie Brown, shoots up 85 places to Number 30, also with an uplift of 387%. Accompanying album Mylo Xyloto benefits from a 36% increase in sales since last week." Coldplay sales Updates
Yeah it is a Worldwide Chart. You can find it here: http://www.mediatraffic.de/albums.htm More in-depth Chart Analysis can be found here: http://www.ukmix.org/forums/viewtopic.php?t=81511&postdays=0&postorder=asc&start=2025 They have been in the top 10 in WW sales pretty much the entire release of the album which is great. Also, for CB, it looks like they would be releasing it in March. From what I gather from this website: http://www.bbc.co.uk/radio2/music-events/playlist/ Basically stating the new radio releases for the week of Feb.25th....and at the bottom it says: "The Radio 2 playlist is one of the most varied of any radio station in the UK and can include albums as well as singles. Before any track can be considered it must be commercially available or be within 4 weeks of commercial availability. " Implying that CB has to be released within 4 weeks of Feburary 25th...so most likely in March it will be released, but the exact date still not made official.

[2-Mar-2012] Coldplay @ Good Morning America, New York, NY, USA
"Coldplay's block party set on the JKL outdoor stage will wrap up the special and include a performance of the band's latest single, "Charlie Brown." The song will also be part of Coldplay's three-song set when the band makes its debut on ABC's Good Morning America on Friday, March 2, performing in the show's Times Square studio." Source: http://www.fmqb.com/article.asp?id=2400710 So, three songs. Probably Charlie Brown, Paradise and VLV.

Is Coldplay losing popularity in the US?
Doesn't really matter. - the grammys performance DID increase sales...they jumped from the 24th spot to number 12 last week to number 10 this week - and it has gone platinum...to put that in persepctive: - its sold nearly 200 thousand less than Watch The Throne (which was released 2 and a half months before MX) and that has Jay-z/Kanye West attached to it - Rihanna's new album hasn't even hit platinum yet and she's everywhere - MX had higher first week sales in the States than both Watch the Throne and Talk that Talk and Lady Antebellum to name a few - their singles never really have done well in the states aside from VLV and Speed of Sound - I never hear any of their songs on the radio (from this era and past eras...apart from VLV) - and they consistently sell out their concerts or are at the top of concert ticket sales

Coldplay sales Updates
got this from another forum, but interesting nonetheless: UK Comparison after 17 Weeks of release: Viva La Vida: 927,000 1–1–1–1–1–2–1–2–3–4–4–8–9–10–18–22–27 [17 Weeks] Mylo Xyloto: 1,021,500 1-2-6-4-7-8-8-3-4-3-4-7-3-2-5-9-11 [17 Weeks] Credit goes to the poster "thegreatone" Source Link: http://www.ukmix.org/forums/viewtopic.php?t=81511&postdays=0&postorder=asc&start=2025 MX was released in the Festive Season so that may have possibly helped sales (VLV was released in the Summer), but still great sales.
