  1. Funny, I forgot the most obvious song (Every Teardrop is a Waterfall)! That's eight (8) tracks I believe are givens. I also forgot "Car Kids", which seems to be written everywhere as a possible title. Maybe a followup "ep" would be in the works if there are supposedly such tough decisions on what to include of the 16 songs (or however many) they are choosing from.
  2. B-side to "Paradise", if there is one. I think this song and a few others are in debate. GIVEN: 01 - Up In Flames 02 - Paradise 03 - Us Against the World 04 - Mylo Xyloto ( Is it instrumental or a song or part 1 and part 2?) 05 - Charlie Brown (how this song title fits in, I don't know... if it's a storyline) 06 - Princess of China 07 - Major Minus (because it ties into "story") ON THE FENCE: 08- Up With the Birds 09 - Hurts Like Heaven 10 - UFO (Alien Radio)??? 11 - Tomorrow 12 - A Hopeful Transmission 13 - Great Expectations 14 - Under 1 Roof??? ( is this an actual song title?) Remember, some of the "better" songs may be left off in the name of the "concept" album we've been hearing about. That may be why there is such a struggle internally between the band members as to what to include and in what order the tracks will sequence.
  3. Having absorbed what I have from what I read and reading between the lines, here is what I think the order of the songs will be: 01 - Mylo Xyloto/Hurts Like Heaven ???? (Only wildcard) 02 - Up in Flames 03 - Charlie Brown 04 - Paradise 05 - Up With the Birds 06 - Major Minus 07 - Princess of China 08 - Every Teardrop is a Waterfall 09 - Us Against the World 10 - Tomorrow/A Hopeful Transmission
  4. I can't see how they give us three more new songs, incl. PoC and Up in Flames, which are way too hyped to be "b-sides". Besides, if the album is roughly 10songs, we would have heard 5 songs (not incl. Moving to Mars, which isn't making the cut) off of a 10-song album. That would be disappointing. That's just not realistic. It's not an ep... it's a single. Correct?
  5. Once again, let me begin by stating that I have no "inside" info regarding the release of "Paradise" as the next single. I do know, however, that I am not the aforementioned Coldpalyer 1317 dude. I also believe that there are no b-sides to this single as I am fairly sure that is the day you will find out the tracklisting. If there are any, I highly doubt two if the best songs would appear as b-sides. My guess, if there were "b-sides", would be "Great Expectations" and maybe "DLIBYH"
  6. MX/Hurts Like Heaven? Princess of China Charlie Brown Up in Flames Major Minus/U.F.O. Us Against the World Paradise Every Teardrop is a Waterfall Great Expectations Tomorrow/A Hopeful Transmission This is based on it being a "love" story... and the songs that follow the "/" are either hidden or second parts, probably instrumentals). Just a guess.
  7. When was the font last updated? I have the "ETIAW" font installed, but this looks diffrerent?
  8. It's an anthem - no doubt. It's catchy, fun, poppy and light. It's epic. It's a great video. And that is both good and bad. I think this song was written for a number of reasons. For one, Coldplay wanted to write a summer anthem. Secondly, Coldplay wants to not be known as a sappy band who write depressing songs. Thirdly, Coldplay wants to write a song that transcends languages and countries. And it works. The only problem is that they get in their own way sometimes. First off, maybe I'm off base, but the one thing I don't like is how the title gets in the way of the song. I guess it's too happy to be titled "Every Teardrop is a Waterfall" for me. Also, it feels like they forced the title into the song at the end. It seems to stick out like a sore thumb for me towards the end, and I don't know why. The formula works in theory but it's a poppy song with a ballad title. It reminds me, in a weird way, of when I heard "Jump" by Van Halen as a kid (I know, a stretch). I liked it, but it was such a leap (pardon the pun) that it never was a song I disliked - but it also never was one I really LOVED. And at least "Jump" was appropriately titled. I feel like Chris Martin wanted to name a song "ETIAW" and found a place to sneak it in. Am I off base here?
  9. I second that... you have all the songs listed that they will work from.
  10. Sorry, I'm a rookie!
  11. p.s. It's not like I just heard the song... but it's the first time I really listened to the song and thought about why it doesn't resonate with me as much. But I bet it makes the album.
  12. I just heard "Every Teardrop is a Waterfall" and here is my honest opinion: It's an anthem - no doubt. It's catchy, fun, poppy and light. It's epic. It's a great video. 13. Done (see above)!
  14. Both this one and Spray Can Soul's tracklist are right on point... but I am specualting as well! I do think there are songs not yet registered with either BMI and/or ASCAP that will make the cut—they can always register them at a later date (at least before it's released). I don't know where "Streets are Calling" came from, but that one snuck in there and is either a fabricated song title or a last minute entry.
  15. john_crawford44 replied to followchrist77's topic in U.F.O.
Exactly... it will "open up" to all the songs inside... sticker on front to have the standard "includes "Every Teardrop is a Waterfall", "Paradise", and "Charlie Brown". Something like that.
  16. john_crawford44 replied to followchrist77's topic in U.F.O.
It's the obvious conclusion to the front... I have posted artwork to what I imagined would be the back cover, but in giving it more thought it would make more sense that it's more graffitti and maybe some liner notes on bottom.
  17. john_crawford44 replied to followchrist77's topic in U.F.O.
I truly believe that the back of the album cover will be a continuation of the front "motif" with more graffitti that will include "U.F.O" and other lyrics, etc. I'm holding to the theory that the song titles will NOT appear on the back like all of the other Coldplay albums but will be on inside or on sticker (a la Sigur Ros). Once you open up cd artwork, song titles will be there.
  18. "Deserter" was a song left off of "AROBTTH" - some of the lyrics were later used in "Lovers in Japan" about a soldier "soldiering on" Same with the other ones at bottom... but nice find, nonetheless!
  19. p.s. They aren't GREAT lyrics either!
  20. This is either an "insider" privy to info none of us have (for example, trying "Googling" any of the lyrics above or "COldplay, Mylo Xyloto" and find ANY lyrics that he posted) OR he wrote them himself. I couldn't find those words anywhere in any song = they aren't horrible lyrics and could plausibly be Chris Martin's HOWEVER how come I can't find them (and I know a few tricks)?
  21. By the way, was "Streets are Running" truly registered at ASCAP... It's not one I am familiar with.
  22. List the songs in the order you want again?
  23. Sorry, my computer froze and then I posted the same message like 8 times!
