Amazing visuals, interesting stage design, a good amount of The 2nd Law is on the setlist, this easily tops The Resistance Tour, and dare I say, Coldplay's Mylo Xyloto tour! The crowds at Bercy were pretty interactive aswell, especially during Starlight, Follow Me, Time is Running Out and Supremacy. The only problem I have is Survival is still underwhelming. They should either mix the backing vocals higher, or hire a choir, because the "Ba Ba Ba" and "Survive, Told you, Didn't Listen" parts are the most powerful parts of the song, and having Chris to sing the parts under his breath is really annoying. I love Survival, and it's really disappointing not to hear the choir parts when they perform it live. Also, I HATE Showbiz, IMO. Get rid of Falling Down! Ahh!
  2. Alot of people haven't realized it yet, but the whole motif of the episode is that once you read forward, you can't change it, then it would be a paradox. Amy and Rory's name are etched on a gravestone. You could never take Amy and Rory out of the place they are in now, because that would create a paradox. They are meant to live their life out in old New York because they read it on a gravestone, much like how River broke her wrist because Amy read it in a book. The Doctor and River could visit them, yes, but they could never take them out. Time can be re-written, unless you know it's going to happen. Plothole filled. As for the points that zzz pointed out, The Statue of Liberty was probably put there just for pure entertainment. In other words, i can't find an explaination for that either. and in response to the characters not looking at the angels and blinking, well, let's see you try to film a scene looking at every statue while you have no idea where your partner's looking. :P
  3. The 2nd Law commercial from down here in Australia. [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NDgtwbnzons&feature=plcp]Make The Connection (15sec)[/ame]
  4. Who wants to bet that Panic Station is going to be the next single after the album is released? I'll bet my house!
  5. physical copies of The 2nd Law has now been shipped to Australian and German stores ahead of a September 28 RD. Expect a leak within the next 2 days.
  6. looks like the rest of the ceremony is going to be revolved around the band now. =P
  7. ^ But then you'll be pausing the album
  8. I LOVE NME, if it's okay to express my opinion...
  9. Hell, even I don't know what EDM is.

  11. Why do I have the feeling this thread is about to go completely off the rails?
  12. no 30 Seconds To Mars
  13. In my opinion, music is like a candy store. There's something for everyone. Just like you would have Candy Canes, Bubble Gum, Wraps, Jelly Babies, Snakes, Lollipops, Sours, Chocolate Bars, etc. You would have The Temper Trap, Linkin Park, Muse, Coldplay, 30 Seconds To Mars, The Offspring, Sigur Rós, Underworld, The Living Tombstone, K'naan, Kanye West, Nicki Minaj, Jack White, The xx, will.i.am, Fergie and The Black Eyed Peas, Skrillex, Mogwai, Madonna, Nickelback, Lady Gaga, P!nk, Florence + The Machine, Katy Perry, Green Day, Radiohead, Nelly Furtado, Apparatjik, The Strokes, etc. My point is, not everyone will like the same candy. Nor will one like every single candy. To be honest, people should open their minds more to explore other bands and acts, genres and music and understand what it is about and where their real talent is, because in my opinion every genre and artist is different. People say Lady Gaga is crap because her songs lack meaning and she focuses too much on presentation. Songs like "Speechless", "Princess Die", and hell nearly all of Born this Way reflects her views on life and how she deals with them. The dresses and mad stage shows are part of the magic of Lady gaga - she's crazy and that's the best part about her. People say Nickelback is shit because they write about sex, drugs and rock and roll, and nearly every song is the same. Believe it or not, nearly all of Nickelback's back catalog are ballads and experimental songs, and not heavy, provocative songs. Nickelback are a great rock band because Chad and his band have such great personalities and aren't over the top like 90% of the rock acts today. They are generic because that's their style, to write rock music and make a decent living of it, not to go hyper like Muse for example (although i'm definitely not against Muse being over the top!) In Conclusion, Candy will always have it's special part, and whether or not people will recognize it, is entirely up to the person tasting it. What's important is that each candy has a sweet spot that not everyone will get into.
  14. I LOVE The Living Tombstone and MandoPony.
  15. I love those black outfits the band wore during the X&Y era. In a polar contrast, I love the MX artwork because there's so much colour!

  17. 42 20 Yes 2 Nuke it.
  18. Just to let everyone know - the album version of "Survival" is on A Symphony of British Music, the London 2012 closing ceremony soundtrack. It includes that millisecond transition from "Prelude", although an album quality m4a of "Prelude" hasn't appeared yet.
  19. NOPE. I LOVE SURVIVAL. UNLIKE SOME PEOPLE. :P
  20. We should have a worldwide listening party for this, like everyone listens to Rush of blood at the same time! How 'bout 10am UTC on August 26? It could be hosted by burns! And doesn't vBulletin have a shoutbox feature for realtime posting?
