OMG something awesome happened today! Normally, in the common room at my college they have a TV on that's constantly playing some music channel and all I ever hear is the crap that's in the UK Top 40. But today, some religious group were using the common room for some kind of interactive display about religious stuff. I don't really know what it was about, and I'm not a religious person so I wasn't at all interested so I just sat with my friends and ate lunch. As we were eating I realised that they were playing music - and not the usual crap. Can you guess which band's music they were playing? :P It turned out that they had this area set up with some cushions for people to sit on and relax, and they were playing Coldplay music non-stop :awesome: In total I heard In My Place, What If, GPASUYF, White Shadows and Fix You :D Of course my friends weren't interested at all... :dozey: So in the end I sat there and pretended to be interested in the spiritual stuff, but in reality I was just listening to the music :sneaky:

I'd say the singles off most of the albums are pretty well chosen. Blur - The Great Escape 7.5/10 Not quite as good as Modern Life or Parklife, but it has some classic tunes. Stand-out songs for me are The Universal, Country House, Stereotypes and He Thought Of Cars.

It sounds to me like all four of them singing at once. During the chorus I can definitely make out Jonny's deeper voice too.

Yet another song that we will never hear (properly anyway) along with Deserter, In Isolation, Mining on the Moon, LeftRightLeftRightLeft etc..... :( I wish they would just record all their unreleased songs and release them on one CD as a special release for fans only...

:nod: My rule is, an album should not have more than half the songs as singles. i.e. MX should not have more than 5 singles because it has 11 (full) tracks.

You're so lucky to have been able to watch them develop and flourish as musicians pretty much since the start of their career! I wish I could have been a fan back then so I could truly appreciate how far they've come :) Incidentally, when did you first see them? And what was the setlist like?
