Yeah in an interview earlier Chris was asked if it was his voice and he said yes. Good thing that I like the pitched vocal, because looks like we might hear more of it.

I take it back. Chris just said in Jo Wiley's session that this is another person singing with pitched up voice. A she. Why do I feel like that might be his girlfriend.

Reading the thread, I agree that the organization is messed up. Especially the random ticket handout that happened outside last minute. But let's be clear. It's up to the band how they share their music with fans. The band has made it clear that we won't get a tour for this era. Seems like they are doing some promo shows to get the word out and push album sales. That's it. Bottom line, these shows are not targeted for the fans. It sucks! But it is what it is. It's not like the band does not do big tours. We'll get our chance to see them live soon. So let's be patient :) like an idiot, I'm still keeping my hopes up that they'll do a show in US west coast, I'll try for tickets just like you (if it happens) and be crushed when it doesn't or I don't get tickets. I've loved this era so much and I really want to see a live show for this era too. So I totally get the frustration. I'm feeling it too. But in the end, it's the band's decision and they have earned it after 6 big time tours in 20 years.

Out of the horse's mouth Link I think this is a logical step and one that takes away the enormous pressure on the band to continuously do #1s. I hope this means more curve ball albums in the future.

I think this album has a lot of growth potential. You might feel differently after a few listens or sitting with it for longer. Then again, you might not. Either way, the good news is, we all for sure know we have new Coldplay music to look forward to pretty soon.

I don't think there are any singles in the traditional sense other than orphans. Everything else seem to be promo releases for the album. Let's see what they perform at Graham Norton. That would be a single I'd say.

thought it was just radio? tv broadcast would be better. US is letting coldplay down big time with this release. would be great to get #2 the way it is selling so far.
