  1. Sonny replied to @AwardChris's topic in Amazing Day
[video=youtube;TOYUqpe7TrM] How You See The World is pretty much the opposite of Amazing Day.
  2. If a new song is premiered today, I am almost certain we will have an overload of information in the next three days.
  3. YES! New material is definitely on it's way. I wonder if it will be a full set or one similar to the Global Citizen festival.
  4. A deal with Apple would make sense as they have a good relationship e.g. Chris was friends with Steve Jobs, he attends Apple press conferences and the Viva La Vida advert helped boost sales.
  5. http://www.digitalspy.co.uk/music/news/a615564/coldplay-on-new-album-were-making-something-colourful-and-uplifting.html#~piTOh0Uwj1AIaM - This is a good article, summing up most of the facts. [video=youtube;2fpTvuqHf00] - Here we get a bit more info (starts from 1:00-2:35 and begins again at 11:37)
  6. Yeah that is true, this leads me to believe AHFOD will be more of a mainstream album. I could be wrong but doesn't Coldplay's record deal end after AHFOD? Maybe they will recreate themselves, I think it's too early to speculate though.
  7. I know what you mean, 2 years (3 years if they go on tour) can seem like a short amount of time. However Coldplay had AHFOD in mind when producing Ghost Stories, I presume they kept some songs in reserve that would suit AHFOD more. Ghost Stories was finished around March 2014, so that has given them around one and half years to produce the album so far. I trust Coldplay will make a quality album, bear in mind the production of A Rush Of Blood To The Head was very short, yet it is considered to be their best album by many.
  8. Yeah, I'm new to the forum. I've pretty much set out the only clear facts about AHFOD (excluding Chris's smiley cap!). Sorry if I encouraged a wishlist from people! I'm still getting used to things, there is just so little to speculate on.
  9. Lets hope so! I want the return of their raw sound and powerful lyrics, I feel like this has been lacking since Viva. Fingers crossed it won't be too overproduced, MX and Ghost Stories were a bit too electronic. I came across this recently, worth a listen. [video=youtube;7zTVGdjXTOY]
  10. What is the expected direction of AHFOD? I'm guessing it will be the opposite to Ghost Stories, Chris said it will be something you can shuffle your feet to, in another interview Jonny said it will be "the night before the day". I think it will be an uplifting album; I hope they don't go too much into mainstream pop, unfortunately this seems the case. It's unlikely to be acoustic, although they did take a minimal approach during the early stages of LP5; I really don't know what to expect!
  11. [video=youtube;2fpTvuqHf00] (AHFOD info starts from 1:00) This is pretty much the only solid details about A Head Full Of Dreams! Jonny describes the album as "the night before the day", this means a more upbeat album especially when Jo Whiley suggests that it will be a "celebration" with Guy agreeing. Interestingly Guy believes the band will have a different mindset after AHFOD, this leads me to believe that we may see a very different Coldplay in the future, considering this album is the end of a chapter.
