This performance of Yellow makes me feel a mixture of emotions. I can't believe it was almost 8 years ago, I remember coming home from school and watching it on TV. It was the first time I really got into the band; the Viva era really was Coldplay at their peak in my opinion.

10 million views! I hope it keeps growing and overtakes Hymn For The Weekend. A very unique video, I don't know how they can top it.

It's looking good so far, however I highly doubt the band will feature. I think this video will be more aesthetically pleasing with some strong messages being displayed; this could annoy some fans.

I don't think the footage with the band on bikes will be used, it was filmed by Marcus Haney who normally uses super 8mm. The GIF shown today seems to be in HD and full frame. The bike footage will probably be used for the live AHFOD performance (making their way to the stadium). I have a feeling the Up&Up video won't feature the band, at least not in physical form. I could be wrong though.

Patiently waiting for it to be dropped today, fingers crossed! Could be one of Coldplay's best music videos, not sure if it will include the band though, only time will tell. I really hope they don't use the radio edit.

Just been looking at some of Vania Heymann's work (one of the directors of the Up&Up music video). It is amazing, he seems to manipulate still objects, making them seem alive. I would expect to see a similar approach in Coldplay's music video, Chris did say that it will make us perceive the world in different way, I am very excited to see the result! This is how he made it, mind blowing!

Chris said a song called Voodoo was scrapped by the band in a recent interview, he said they liked it but couldn't get away with releasing it. I hope we get to listen to a catalogue of unreleased songs one day.

Hurts Like Heaven sounds epic in this performance; Jonny's guitar is turned up and it sounds amazing. I was so disappointed with the studio version when it was released.

Apparently Up&Up will be released as a second single in America on May 10th, has Hymn For The Weekend not been officially released yet? That would explain why it didn't do too well in the charts, maybe it's going to be a summer release, it's not my favourite song from AHFOD but it really does sound like a hit.

I was thinking about that too, the show really needs to be in the dark; especially for the full effect of the fireworks and Xylobands. I reckon the first half an hour will be during the daylight. The Emirates shows were in the daylight for the first 20 minutes I think, here is a video of how it looked.

Does anyone think Coldplay will release songs that didn't make the AHFOD cut? It would be nice if they did a similar E.P. to Prospect's March, or even a few B-Sides. The last two eras have been lacking this; Moving To Mars and Ghost Story are two of my favourite songs, yet they could have never been released!
