Hurts Like Heaven

Is it possible to get a recording of this concert? I went to it and thought it was amazing and I'd love to be able to listen to it any time.

I went to that concert last night, and I can honestly say it was the greatest concert Coldplay has ever done, and I enjoyed it immensely, even though I had to cope with the 30-minute escape from the parking lot. As far as the setlist, the concert had the best version IMO of Major Minus, and I was pretty excited that they played Warning Sign, and kind of surprised too about that and Lovers in Japan. Note: Chris Martin had lots of fun changing the lyrics of the songs, particularly Lovers in Japan (American Sun), GPaSUYF, and Viva la Vida, (shattered windows and the bass & drums, keep up, bass & drums!) Overall, I loved it, though Princess of China was a bit of a surprise to me, and I enjoyed Wolf Gang's performance a lot too. :D

You think so? I'll make another version like that if that's what you want, but I always thought it would be in the song name since it's the symbol for the song. Thanks for the input, I'll have the other version up ASAP. :D

I saw it too, and I'm starting to think it's real, because if you look carefully at the artwork from the UWTB/U.F.O. artwork, it's the same as part of the UWtB pop-up artwork!

I'd love to see them do DLiBYH live, but I also miss White Shadows, CoL, and GoW. There are so many good Viva songs, like Yes, that I would like to hear them perform again. No matter what, I just want to hear Major Minus when I go to their concert. XD

Normally it's either Major Minus or White Shadows for me, but I was in a Violet Hill kind of mood today.

I am upset, not pissed, because I like Moving to Mars, but since the other two songs on the ETIAW EP were on the album, it seemed it was destined to forever be a B-side. I think Coldplay's mistake here was including all three on the EP, as all three are amazing songs, and should all be on the album. The ETIAW EP should have just been ETIAW and MtM, and then had a B-side, say, maybe Tomorrow. Then they should have released Major Minus as the second single instead of Paradise, which would be released with the album. Bam! Everybody's happy.

I haven't got many, just my old copy of Parachutes and the God Put a Smile Upon Your Face EP, (the one with the live In My Place and live acoustic Yellow) which I picked up so I could get Murder.

I'm very sorry, I forgot to include the Cirque du Soleil part. Also, I said specifically in my post that it was not as much a remix album as the LOVE album, and I concentrated on making songs flow into each other. The only remixed track is #16, and I combined the two versions of Talk. I personally don't like remixes much either, but I am asking for opinions, so thank you for yours, and it's okay if you don't like my idea much.

You might know about the Beatles' LOVE album, but if you don't, I'll explain it to you. The LOVE album is a project created by Beatles producer George Martin, who, as their producer, has access to alternate versions of songs. So it's basically an album made out of Beatles songs mixed with other Beatles songs. As the Coldplay fan I am, I think this would be great idea to do with Coldplay. So I pull out GarageBand and make a 21-song chunk of Coldplay. I didn't do as much remixing as George Martin did, because I'm not a professional like he is, but I made sure the whole album transitions and flows together correctly, and it ended up sounding rather nice. The whole things is over an hour long, and is actually part 1 of 2, so I'd love to share it with you guys. The problem is, since only three songs on the album are B-Sides, I can't post the whole thing for download. So here's my question to you guys. If I were allowed to post or stream this, would you want to hear it? And to the mods, if they do want to hear it, how would I make this possible? I'll put the tracklisting in a spoiler box below just in case some of you want to be surprised, and remember, more is coming soon, and I couldn't put ALL the best songs on just Part 1.

I've started seeing if I could do it with GarageBand, but it's extremely difficult to separate the instrumental parts, maybe even impossible without more advanced programs, so I'm stuck for now, but I'll work on it.

I see what you mean. I think Charlie Brown/Life in Technicolor II would actually sound better.
