Definitely GPASUYF. The live version so energetic and more fast paced. It's actually quite a contrast to the studio version. Definitely prefer live over the recorded one on this song :)

The birthplace of football is actually Sheffield, the city where I am from ;) :) The oldest football team in the world, Sheffield FC, hails from the city. And the oldest professional football stadium is Bramall Lane, home of Sheffield United - the team I support :)

Chris' vocals are beautiful, nice and mellow, and as with many Coldplay songs the tone of the song seems to raise the further it gets towards the end. The bit directly after the lyric "I'm about to explode" where the drums come in and some heavy piano playing from Chris sounds great too! And as for Jonny's solo at the end, well, that's just Jonny Buckland at his best isn't it? The end of the song, particularly Jonny's guitar, reminds me very much of the Viva era; it has a touch of 42 & DAAHF with the guitar (in terms of a big crescendo from Jonny and then back down to normal level if you know what I mean?). It gets a thumbs up from me! Very impressive I must say! But what else did you expect from Coldplay? They aren't the greatest band in the world for nothing :D! 10/10!

Brilliant news! So us in the UK will be able to hear it on Friday even if it isn't available till Sunday :) Looking forward to tomorrow :D

Also, this might sound daft but I can detect a bit of Coldplay from a few eras...Chris' voice is a bit like the X&Y era, Jonny's guitar a bit like MX and VLV, Chris' piano like Politik from AROBTTH...

Well that sounds so beautiful; I can't wait to hear the full version tomorrow on Absolute Radio :) I am of the opinion that it does have a similar sound to Death And All His Friends, however it is sometimes difficult to gauge a proper understanding of a song from a 90 second preview, but it does sound amazing! Chris' voice is quite mellow, a little like mellow Yellow if you like. I'm guessing there will be some sort of big crescendo at the end; quite a few Coldplay songs do that, including the previously mentioned DAAHF. I'm sure we'll all agree on one thing? It sounds like Coldplay yet again at their very best :D! Proud to be a Coldplayer!

As you know, it's not officially released here in the UK till Sunday 8th, but hopefully we'll get to hear it somehow on Friday like the rest of you :) Not too long to go now. Coldplay (and everyone else for that matter) have been very stringent and kept things very much under wraps. I'm just as excited as the rest of you :D!

Absolutely brilliant news! I'm over the moon by it :D! Perhaps LP6 is closer than we first thought :P - we'll have to wait and see on that front. I'm singing the beautiful lyrics in my head trying to figure out how it'll sound (have a feeling it'll be similar to UATW); I'm sure it'll be amazing though :D!
