  1. Yeah I do see your points about it, mine was more of just a hopeful thought that they might return to the UK on this tour :p Seeing as they pretty much opened the MX tour with a UK arena tour, then were back in the UK for stadium dates this month just there, then I realistically can't see them coming back to the UK for a 3rd leg/round of dates :( it would've been cool for them to do Ireland too for the fans over there too, and not just Scotland like I've said quite a few times now :embarrassed: :laugh3:
  2. LOL I thought the thread was about that when I saw the title ;D I saw something on Twitter recently like 'Guy has a nice bass' and even I found that hilarious :laugh3::laugh3: (even though I'm a straight guy :p)
  3. Tbh I think we're all already in some form of Coldplay mind control, so if they have any worldwide dominations planned I can't wait! :D :laugh3::laugh3: But yeah, I remember a few months ago when my first Xyloband started flashing in the early hours of the morning, of which at first was just a random flash in the corner of my eye when I was sitting at my computer desk, then it went off again after a bit and I was like ahhhh :o :D think I saw it briefly flash again after that too, but then I went to my bed and gave it to my dad to watch until I got back up :p although he said it never flashed again though :( but since then I've been able to amuse myself by using a paperclip to light it up at times 8) I've got a new Xyloband from the Manchester Eithad Stadium gig on 9th June just there, so hopefully I'll maybe see it going off randomly at somepoint or another! might have had a better chance if I had been in/around Manchester for 10th June too, with the 2nd concert going on it surely would've been active at somepoint or another haha! although if I had been in Manchester that night too, I would've been at that concert as well, instead of just being there like 'WHY am I not seeing Coldplay again?!' :p
  4. Hmm I think you're maybe spot on there with all/most of those songs that are pretty much guaranteed to be on future tours after MX! There's a few in that list I could maybe see go actually, but with say Charlie Brown (and the Xylobands) I think they'll want to keep both of those maybe? although the Xylobands are an MX tour thing really, so who knows if we'll see those again on a future tour or not!
  5. Have to start by admitting that Warning Sign was one of some songs I never really listened to on the albums at first :| I''d list the others, but it would make ya'll wanna kill me D: hahaha! but yeah, with this and those other songs, I find it hard to believe I never used to regularly listen to them as much as the tracks I do :o Now I have it and loads more on a massive Coldplay playlist looping in my head ;D I'm like my own personal iPod of Coldplay songs, and if it had a playcount it would probably be into the 1,000's... for each track :| lmao! Anyway, back to the main point of this thread - it was really amazing hearing Warning Sign live at first through AbsoluteRadio's live broadcast of the London Emirates Stadium concert, then I was able to see, hear and experience it live for myself at the Manchester Eithad Stadium on 9th June :D one of the bits I can't get out my head is Chris' really high notes near the end of the songs, which actually had me amazed like 'Wow :o' here's my video of that very Warning Sign performance from Manchester, enjoy! :) [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ke2ml64vIMI]Coldplay - Warning Sign (Manchester Eithad Stadium - 9th June 2012) HD - YouTube[/ame] As you can see I had some of the best views in the entire place by that point, with having Chris and his piano right infront of me, along with Will, Jonny and Guy next to that too! :D and with my 18x optical zoom Samsung WB720 I could zoom right in and get some pretty amazing/clear close ups :) You can check the rest of my videos on my playlist here:
  6. Was hoping to have been back in this thread a few days ago after the concert to post about it, but I've only just around to getting back on Coldplaying tonight and I only just got all my videos uploaded to YouTube earlier tonight/yesterday too! But yeah, this concert was very very easily the most incredible night of my entire life!! it was my 13th concert overall out of everyone I've seen, and was the best by far really, which also makes 13 no longer an unlucky number for me :p also have to say that anyone else who I ever go to see live, won't ever be able to even come anywhere near close to being this incredible!! Here's my playlist of all my videos from the concert anyway, of which I was stood right infront of the X-Stage at the barriers and fairly front facing the main stage itself! I do wish I could've been centre of the end of the X-stage, so that I'fd have a perfect view right down the middle of that and of the main stage itself, but I can't really complain about the amazing view I got from where I was stood :) and you can see for yourself too! Fairly proud with the quality of my videos from a concert for once :D as I'm normally used to hearing ones that are overall not that great or okay at a push, depending on how much sound interference happened during various videos! if you compare these videos to my ones from the Glasgow SECC concert on 3rd December 2011, which were recorded using my iPod Touch 4th Gen, you'll see what I mean about the sound on some of those vids :| EDIT: Just went back about 5-6 pages to see all the great/brilliant pictures from the concert :o and read some of the stories about different concert experiences too :) will hopefully get around to posting my own one soon, along with some of my 'best' pictures from the night too! but by best I mean, the ones that aren't blurry or are but not too bad :p it helped a lot that my new camera had Dual IS, which actually gave me some good pictures that may have been just a big blur without it D: BlurPlay anyone? hahaha!
  7. Agreed haha! and make sure they include some more Scottish dates this time or its not a UK tour, its an English tour!! :p
  8. ^ First of (and off-topic) your dp is amazing ;D I had the idea of doing that with those MX song icons from one of the downloadable packs on the Coldplay website, but your one looks miles better with those better versions of the icons! :) Anyway, getting back on-topic - I have wondered if there are any differences in the tour programme, such as between me getting one in Glasgow in December 2011, and the ones that got sold on the UK stadium tour leg? I couldn't stick around for long after the Manchester concert on Saturday 9th JUne, so wasn't able to buy any merchandise despite walking past the stall on the way out, and being tempted to buy a poster :( haha! I'd be able to hopefully order one of the posters online if they are still in stock, same goes for the tour porgramme if there are any changes/differences from the one I bought in 2011!
  9. Well I'm not sure where I could stand amongst this thread/debate about the current setlist, but I think its pretty amazing tbh! and I don't think any of us would be standing at a concert and then have a song come on and think 'urgh not this one again' :| lmfao! I am a bit gutted to see Politik go from the setlist, especially as the piano intro to Viva La Vida was pretty epic too! but as I got to see them open the tour in Glasgow in December, then I can say that I've already seen that and wouldn't mind a change :) would've loved to see Everything's Not Lost and/or Life Is For Living too, but those were only done during the festivals period and various other places too I think! With the whole Clocks/Fix You thing, I think Clocks is always great to see and makes a good lead song for Fix You, even if that has its own various other song intros haha! but yeah Fix You is always amazing and is another of the big sing along songs too, which is incredible to hear when you get an incredible crowd to go along with it! and of course is even more incredible to be part of and experience for yourself :) I could probably go on forever about many many other songs that are or have been on the setlist, but most things will have already been said anyway, without needing to add anything extra or repeat anything already said.
  10. Well I'm not sure about whatever ticket sites the Europe dates have, but maybe try your luck on eBay and see what you can find? I spent literally months trying to get tickets for Manchester and watched as prices rose and fell, then eventually I had a result with getting a ticket for 9th June for only £59, only £10 more than face value! :)
  11. Wow this thread really picked up a bit since my absence from the forums for about a week :o haha! In the end I picked up a new Samsung WB720 compact digital camera from Argos on Friday, the day I was leaving for Manchester, so only had time to sort it all when I got to the hotel! Have to say its the best camera I've ever owned to date!! :D quite proud with the overall quality of pictures & videos I got for once, and the Dual IS mode along with the 18x optical zoom worked a treat for being able to zoom right in on the stage and still get some clear pictures, even during videos the zoom was really great and didn't affect the sound quality! Here's my playlist of all the videos I recorded during Coldplay's Manchester Eithad Stadium concert on 9th June, if you check ones like Up In Flames or Viva La Vida and compare with the ones I first posted in this thread, you'll see a massive difference in sound quality! for a start you can hear the drum beats really well in Up In Flames, and can even hear the Viva La Vida bell that Will hits :) No problem :) I was surprised to not see a lot of threads/posts about good cameras to use for Coldplay concerts, so when I made this thread at first I wasn't sure if it would go anywhere at all :o hopefully you'll be able to get yourself a good camera in time for September, especially as you've got a lot more time to find a good one, compared to me only having a matter of weeks/days really haha! Thank you too! :) and I hope your new Sony camera worked out for the Lenny Kravitz gig!
  12. Thank you! :) LOL I wish!! I may or may not have been born in the same hospital he was, but thats probably as close a 'link' I could get really :p
  13. I'll be staying at a hotel for the night before, so come Saturday morning I'll hopefully be able to get down there to the stadium early if I can get a taxi too haha!
  14. I know I'd pay to buy a 2nd, or maybe a 3rd (or a 4th if I felt cheeky), Xyloband for myself during the concert :laugh3: Not sure about regarding the UK ticket prices being increased? or well the standing face value/price ones seem normal priced I guess, but I did notice it costed more for tired seats, or whatever you'd class it as at stadiums haha!
  15. Hahaha yeah its a pretty good 'claim to fame' sorta thing you could say ;) even if I have no relation to him (that I know of) I still live next to the town/city where Guy comes from :p Thank you both for the welcomes too anyway :)
  16. Hmm whats this about?! :o haven't heard much about it myself, but sounds like it would be cool? haha!
  17. It does seem like he may have been joking about the Xylobands being costly? :p but yeah I would pay to keep mine if we had to do so! maybe not as high as an extra £26 though, around £10 would be more of a fair extra cost I'd say!
  18. Pretty much any bands/artists touring will have fans being ripped off by these ticket sites that sell them for about 5-10x face value on the ticket itself :/ I was almost tempted to use one recently so I could finally get a Coldplay ticket for Saturday coming, even if it would cost me about £80-100 just for 1 ticket, but thankfully I held back and managed to get one for myself on eBay for only £59 :) eBay does seem like your cheapest option for getting tickets, the prices on that have also shot down a fair amount! at first a few months back 2 tickets would sell anywhere from £150-200+ and you'd be lucky to get it for less :| but now in recent weeks I've saw a lot of 2 tickets sell for only £100-120 :o even single tickets have dropped to being only £10-20 off the face value price, rather than paying about £100+ per ticket! It is very unfortunate that these 3rd party ticket sites can legally get away with trying to sell concert/event tickets for a much much higher price than you would originally be buying it for :/ hopefully one day someone will put a stop to it, so that they'll have to find some other means of raking in the money, and not any other form of ripping people off either!
  19. Hmm do you have any idea of the wedding times? like won't the wedding be earlier in the day, allowing you to maybe sneak out and still make it for the Coldplay concert before (or just after) gates opening time?
  20. ^ Nope it only goes on when you put the paperclip in :p although when I was trying it with mine the other day, I managed to make the paperclip stay in and make it stay lit up/flashing by itself :o was pretty cool just having it sat on my desk watching as it flashed by itself with a paperclip in it!
  21. LOL yeah I'm sure they can make changes on the guest list for a random Coldplayer to turn up at the wedding whilst you go to the Coldplay concert :p (I'm going to the concert too btw :D)
  22. Wow thats amazing :o I'm going to see them in Manchester on Saturday coming :D so might give this a try and see if I get any result from it!
  23. LOL he could probably write a book about it, like 'The Story of How I Was Almost A Member of Coldplay' or something :p lmao yeah I know things don't just go like that, since talent comes naturally to people anyway too!
  24. Does anyone know if those Flip Ultra HD pocket/handheld camcorders are any good for concerts or not? Wow thats weird, I've actually already found and looked at your article about that camera the other day when doing one of many Google searches! :o The fact it has digital stereo sound recording rather than mono like most cameras, already makes it seem a lot better for getting good audio! or well going by the 'stereo' part I see on top of those cameras, so I'm not sure if thats for audio recording, or for audio playback? :embarrassed: Without sounding like a cheapskate, I think its a bit out of my price range for rushing out at last minute to get a new/better camera for the concert :/ plus I don't want to spend more on a camera alone, than I've already spent for the ticket and couple of nights at a hotel haha! I do understand that if you want a good camera like those, you have to be willing to pay a lot of money for one. Thats a pretty amazing video of Fix You that you were able to record :D even from what looked like a good distance away from the stage, you were able to zoom in and get a pretty close up view on them all! :o I was interested by a couple of Samsung cameras in Argos, but this one seems like the better option maybe? http://www.argos.co.uk/static/Product/partNumber/5597219/c_1/1%7Ccategory_root%7CPhotography%7C14419436/c_2/2%7C14419436%7CDigital+cameras%7C14419441/c_3/3%7Ccat_14419441%7CDigital+compact+cameras%7C14419442.htm I'm not sure if it has stereo sound recording or not, but it looks like it has two slots/holes spaced apart on top of the camera that may be the microphones? then 4 little slots next to each other that might be for video/audio playback? Thank you both for the replies btw :) I appreciate the help and any further help too! :p
  25. ^ lmao I was sitting making mine flash when sitting in my room in the dark, when listening to Coldplay's London gig on AbsoluteRadio before xD totally not sad at all... :laugh3:
