  1. I would have to nominate Swallowed in the Sea. It's an incredible song (X & Y really gets no love anymore), and we know they have the ability to play it well live!
  2. 63404
  3. Opener: It's a hard choice, but the climax of Politik barely edges out the riff of Square One. Closer: Comes down to either Everything's Not Lost or Twisted Logic, but since Twisted Logic got no love live, I'll choose it. It's truly one of their hidden gems.
  4. Can't help but wonder if they keep playing the song live? Anyways, prayers going out to Chris. This is brutal news...
  5. Well, looking at the reviews from the LA shows, the consensus is that it starts as a slow song that then explodes DLIBYH-style into a fast-paced song. We'll just to see, but I'm pretty hopeful. :).
  6. After seeing the sets from the 4 March shows, I think you're probably the closest so far. They've always played GPASUYF though, I don't think they'll cut it- considering they love reworking it every tour. I still believe they're going to play Atlas too... And possibly take 1 non-single (a la Warning Sign during MX). As an aside, if they only take 2 from Viva, I'd much rather they take Lovers in Japan than Violet Hill. It's a much better live song.
  7. I think that this song is actually going to be the big hit of LP6. Just a feeling. Love the lyrics. Someone on Twitter said it has a sound similar to that of DLIBYH!
  8. With the announcement today for Ghost Stories, I'm thinking we can probably bank on a tour by the end of the year, if not earlier. This obviously begs the question: What's going to make it on the Set? Therefore, predictions seem plausible. This isn't about what we would want, but rather what could reasonably happen. There's apparently only nine songs on the album, which equal to the number of songs on MX songs that became regular on the last tour. Assuming there will be 1-2 songs they won't perform from this album (historical pattern), let's assume 7 songs make it from GS. We can safely assume that the big 6 (Yellow, The Scientist, Clocks, Fix You, Viva La Vida, and Paradise) will be on the set too. In My Place, Charlie Brown, and Every Teardrop Is A Waterfall seem to stick around, so there's another 3. Atlas almost seems like a must-have too. That's 17 songs, and assuming that we get a 22 song set (similar to MX), that leaves 5 spots. Let the speculation begin- what else will we get? - God Put a Smile Upon Your Face seems to be a safe bet (probably with a new version), as does Violet Hill. - Politik and Talk are edging to make a return after being totally absent from the MX Tour. - Lovers in Japan and Lost! are viable candidates. In all likelihood, they'll only take one of them if historical patterns from MX are to be looked at. LiJ probably has the advantage, since it got the momentum near the end of the MX tour. - Speed of Sound has an outside shot, but Chris' distaste for it won't help its cause. - A non-single will probably make it (a la Warning Sign during MX), although it'd be hard to guess. Amsterdam, followed by Swallowed in the Sea, are obviously the sentimental favourites. - I'd reckon everything else is unlikely. I could see Trouble returning possibly, but hey, if Daylight and What If can make appearances during MX, who's to say Green Eyes, Strawberry Swing, or Low can't come back? What do you all think? What songs have the best shot? What's on the bubble?
  9. Setlist? Love your ideas! Especially the swinging light- someone should petition for that. Paradise will always be safe though- it was their biggest hit on MX. We'll probably end up with this sort of a setlist. MAIN STAGE 1. LP6 Opener 2. In My Place 3. Paradise 4. LP6 Song 5. Lovers In Japan 6. GPASUYF (New LP6 Version... Not the VLV or MX version. Acoustic?) 7. LP6 Song 8. Viva La Vida 9. LP6 Song 10. ETIAW B-STAGE (Acoustic Set?) 11.* ??? 12. LP6 Song 13.* ??? 14. The Scientist MAIN STAGE 15. Violet Hill 16. Clocks 17.* ??? 18. Charlie Brown 19. LP6 Song ENCORE C-STAGE (Audience? It'd have to be a bigger stage than the MX one, as this is not an acoustic set). 20.* ??? 21. LP6 Song 22. Yellow 23. Fix You 24. LP6 Song Foot Notes: #11: Candidates include Don't Panic, Green Eyes, Us Against the World, or something more creative. How about Everything's Not "Lost?" as an idea; a mix between the singalong Everything's Not Lost and the piano acoustic "Lost?"? Think of it like the GPASUYF/Talk merge during VLV Tour. #13 Candidates include Swallowed in the Sea, Amsterdam, Up in Flames, 42, or Til Kingdom Come. #17: Candidates include Talk, Strawberry Swing, White Shadows, or Shiver. #20: Candidates include Politik, Hurts Like Heaven, Square One, or Trouble. Life is for Living (as always) would close the main set at some festivals, and Christmas Lights would appear seasonally as needed. I think we'll see a slight extension in the set, and it'll keep the same, usual format: Greatest Hits, New Songs, and 2-4 older songs.
  10. The Scientist 15 Violet Hill 5
  11. The Scientist 13 Violet Hill 7 And Merry Christmas to whoever I gave the thanks to to the last page... It should not be that hard to click the next page button on an iOS device. :P
  12. It is! :D Now we just have to await its actual return to the Setlist...
  13. 42 10 Hurts Like Heaven 10
  14. You're probably right... But I think we're probably looking at a late 2013 release. I think the MX tour really energised the boys!
  15. Don't think it was released on the Live 2003 CD. Check the Multimedia thread though- someone could have it. :)
