That's just sidetracking the issue. The Beatles, Radiohead, Bowie's ability in making music is so far advanced from Coldplay it's laughable. They are more U2's level, if you take away Achtung Baby. I want Coldplay to go away and come back in a few years and release a record which sounds nothing like anything in the charts. Let's see if they had the balls to do it. The best bands have.

It's not opinion really in terms of saying Coldplay could pull a White Album so to speak, they can't. They don't have the range of what the Beatles had. It's like saying they can do a Ok Computer or In Rainbows, they simply do not have the ability to do so.

Labels are known for hating and avoiding double albums because why release a double when you can release 2 albums and make nearly twice the amount of money. I don't think the band have it in them. Unless they take a long break. I'd rather have 10 strong amazing songs and some top b-sides. Be nice if they did a 'double a-side' that wasn't on the album as well, maybe for a greatest hits collection.

Sorry but your wrong on so many counts on that one. Also the record company would never let them release a double album.

They always blow hot and cold about new album info, I still think we will get something by the end of the year....... :nod: I bet even they want to break the 3 year trend since AROBTTH and what a way to do it with a stripped down acoustic album :D

For me it's a big no no. Just seeing the title "Hurts Like Heaven" makes my blood boil. Awful song especially the chorus......."Oh you, use your heart as a weapon. And it hurts like heaven" LOL I remember when some song titles leaked and this one was mocked because it is so bad.

Rubbish compared to the Live 2003 DVD which ironically had more features and none of this arty farty style over substance stuff the band has done in recent times. I was looking forward to the documentry and it's not even 20 mins compared to the 2003 40 minute one and who's brilliant idea was it to put the footage between the songs? Blu-ray looks crap as well. I can't wait for this era to be over. Oh and Merry Christmas :)

Maybe a one name title?? Still thinking it's coming 2015 unless it's stripped down - which means it will come much sooner!

Will there be a behind the scenes documentry like the 2003 one? I remember some footage of them playing Trouble fast which was cool. Next album in 2015 looking more likely now. Happy that they are taking a break as they never really have between albums.
