  1. Something that sounds out of place in the charts for a start.
  2. Nah course not. Why not duet with another female artist that is up and coming or better still unknown? They knew what they were doing.
  3. Many longtime fans including myself just think the latest era isn't up to standard. I just hope Viva wasn't a peak. I haven't totally lost faith in Coldplay but they should stop trying to sound like mainstream music and try to do something different.
  4. Your argument doesn't wash either. Coldplay's older music never tried to appeal to tennypoppers like a duet to with Rihanna would. MX just sounds like everything else in the charts, the earlier stuff did not - infact it inspired and paved the way for a lot of new bands.
  5. Those examples are not the same as what Chris did. With friends like JayZ and Beyonce whilst being married to a hollywood actress you unlikely to be down to earth lol
  6. Chris knew what he was doing........ Oh and I care when a band that can do so much better appear to water down their music to continue to try and appeal to the masses.
  7. No excuse what so ever, doesn't matter how you dress it up. Chris knew it would generate publicity for the teenyboppers. It's pathetic.
  8. Funny that in recent years "they evolved" to appeal to teenyboppers........
  9. [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rbR44GSUK6M&feature=player_embedded]Chris Martin singing the words "What Makes You Beautiful" by One Direction 06/28/2012 - YouTube[/ame] Time to come back to earth Chris, this is getting embarrassing.....
  10. Paradise is the only video I like from this era, nice to see them doing something silly and not take themselves too seriously. But POC is about as pretentious as it gets.
  11. U2 and Aerosmith have been going since the 70's so put simply your argument is extremely flawed!
  12. +1...... shame after the amazing strawberry swing video :(
  13. late 2013 would be great for LP6, break the 3 year trend ;)
  14. MX is pop is it not? I want them to make a record which sounds like nothing else in the charts for a change.
  15. Closer to 70. Jagger is 70 next year I think. I don't mind Coldplay going on to be honest. I don't know if I want to see a Chris solo album, some of his taste isn't to my liking.
  16. That doesn't address my comment does it?:rolleyes::rolleyes:
  17. Yeh Madge the Vag is not the best example ;)
  18. I hope we don't have to wait to 2014. I hate this 3 year turnover thing :/ Why are we comparing to Coldplay to Radiohead, they will never be that capable, but U2 on the other hand is an much easier goal for Coldplay to eclipse in terms of musical output.
  19. They haven't got the balls to do a Radiohead, they are too desperate to stay current and commerical. My biggest worry is they end up like U2. Boring.
  20. SoldOutPlay Feat RoboRihanna!
  21. I think he has been living in a bubble too long to realise that thanks to shit like that show many bands don't get the time to grow these days.......they have to have a hit straight away or they are dropped!
  22. http://www.digitalspy.co.uk/music/s103/the-x-factor/news/a354450/coldplays-chris-martin-x-factor-is-important-for-music-industry.html Chris if you did really say that your a f**king deluded idiot! X Factor and shows like it are like a cancer to music. Obviously MX can't be selling as well as they expected which is deserved I feel because after the highs of VLV it is rather disappointing!
