People who don't like Coldplay changing their sound all the time have surely stopped following them years ago, because they've never made two albums that sound the same and they'll (hopefully) never do it. I think the main problem people have with this particular song is just that it's a collab with an artist that hasn't really proven anything yet and just scored a lot of streams when they first emerged, making the whole thing sound an awful lot like a bit of cheap sell out? I'm more than okay with them changing their sound. In fact I find bands that just make the same album 5 times incredibly uninteresting. My problem with SJLT is just.. a personal disdain towards The Chainsmokers. They're two nobodies that discovered the recipe to make a hit, used that recipe 10+ times and plastered some lyrics ranging from utterly generic to downright cringy over it lol. Indeed, the band are free to do whatever the hell they want, but this particular move really disappointed me.

I know, I'm shocked! yeah lots of spam, it doesn't get past the moderation queue but it's a pain to clean out every day :shifty: (i know the smileys don't work but i still use them) first it was HOT, and then I had to write a dissertation (partly in that heat) and now I'm freeee and I'm going to Italy in two days :D was there an insane heat wave in America too or was it just Europe?

That article really just rounds up all the "rumours" of Coldplay headlining a festival here and there. Those "rumours" we get pretty much every year. So yeah that website doesn't know more than we do and personally I would say that Coldplay doing a festival tour in 2019 is about as likely as the pope doing a festival tour in 2019 lol

- coldplayers about Live 2017, in 7 years it's a track/unfinished track?/just a working title? from the MX era. The song obviously never saw the light of day but "car kids" was plastered all over their instruments and stuff and it got a bit of a mythical status on the forum

nah, like coldplaykb said, the countdown wouldn't be cryptic if there's an announcement halfway into it. If the countdown is related to Live 2017 at all, it's counting down to the announcement and the dvd will be released in November and then we can't even be mad at Chris anymore

yeah I feel you, I use an adblocker for most websites too. but coldplaying and some other sites I care about are whitelisted

it might be nicer for you, but please be aware that ads are the way this site generates some money to keep everything online. There are generally only two banner ads per page and they're really not in the way ;)
