  6. Ladies, maybe you will know this picture - I am not sure about it. Found it on tumblr and thought I'll share it with you :) Goodlooking as he is...:rolleyes5:
  7. ^ you explained well Batman :-) Especially the part 'we are all the same'. And that IS. By placing these broken children, and in the same time surrounding them by flowers, animals, teddybears and lovely blankets, it gives me the feel that at least ONE person (the one who is drawing them so carefully and detailed) did care for them.
  8. I think it is an awfull competition. It's all about spreading the "Hunger Game - fever" around the world with Twitter, FaceBook etc. You can collect several 'points' and be a top player by (for example) showing your own Hunger Game-art and earn 'likes'. I am too old for this haha. And: I never could really anticipate this competition anyway as I am a resident of Holland :D
  9. :stunned::stunned: This woman is a good artist; she really knows how to draw. I really do not like her subjects. As I wanted to KNOW; I came across a statement: It helps a little bit to understand this art, but I am still confused....:embarrassed: The exposed work is based, mainly, in the study of abjection. Most specifically in the corpse, wich alludes to illness, dirt and waste. It threatens the integrity and stability of the viewer, attracted by the drawings developed from traditional techniques and obsessively intricate in detail, which results in an evocative imaginary, thus being stimulating and pleasant when contemplating, but when assimilated, provokes rejection due to the moral barrier of our social context. This is done almost exclusively in order to violate the moral basis of the viewer, leading him to dissolve the inconvenience of morality and turning him into an accomplice of the enjoyableness of death. “At the center of artist Kikyz1313′s paintings are young children, their pale skin enveloped in tangled cocoons of feathers, bone, cloth and other natural elements. The startlingly detailed works reveal macabre elements as their bodies and faces are bisected to reveal their organs. These melancholy explorations of mortality and the cyclical nature of life are paired with a stunning mastery of technique and color balance…”

  14. Is this old or new news? Coldplay - Chris Martin Gets Pro Cooking Tips For Gwyneth Paltrow by WENN | 03 September 2013 Coldplay singer Chris Martin urged celebrity chef Jamie Oliver to give his wife Gwyneth Paltrow a cooking lesson to fine-tune her skills in the kitchen. The Shakespeare in Love actress has penned several cookery books since marrying the British rocker, but he is convinced she could do with some professional tips so he enlisted his pal Oliver to help. The chef tells Britain's Daily Star newspaper, "I know Gwyneth because her husband Chris rang and asked if I'd give her a cookery lesson for her birthday. I'm a big Coldplay fan, and Gwyneth's a lovely woman, so it was a done deal. "I spent the afternoon cooking in her kitchen, we made a slow roasted duck ragu and then a bunch of her friends came around to eat it." source: http://www.contactmusic.com/story/chris-martin-gets-pro-cooking-tips-for-gwyneth-paltrow_3846866
