Keep in mind that, like an_cat, my two favorite bands are U2 and Coldplay. A lot of U2 fans take to comparing White Shadows to Unforgettable Fire-era U2, where the band first started using synths under direction of synth-master Brian Eno. If you believe this theory, than any band who uses synths is ripping off Unforgettable Fire-era U2. After listening to UF in its entirety on the drive home from university today, I really think that this isn't true at all. Songs like 'Wire', 'Indian Summer Sky', 'A Sort Of Homecoming'? Those songs bear absolutely no resemblance to White Shadows, and neither do the rest of the albums' tracks.

I wonder if they're aware how severely Dallas got screwed

All I'm saying is their body of work (including b-sides) is extensive enough now that they could play maybe 20 songs a night. Maybe add one or two more to the acoustic set or do a second encore. I'm not disappointed at all. The two times I saw them last autumn were ALMOST better than U2 on October 29. They could just extend it, they have the capacity.

I guess I'm just still pissed that U2 goes there about 9 times in a year and only has two dates in the entire state of Texas.

The LA dates haven't come out yet so the NYC ones might be right around the corner, but let's not forget that NYC already got twice as many shows as anywhere else on the first leg

You mean Toyota Center? I know American is a great venue, saw U2 there a couple weeks ago.

I was a little disappointed that there isn't an Austin date again, but oh well. Hopefully I actually get in on the presale this time. what about houston? I'll think about it. In theory it is possible.
