  23. Of course, Chris - and the others, too - has changed. How could he not? Not everyone's stuck in the Peter Pan stage like Michael Jackson. But we, the fans, have also grown over the years. Our attitudes have changed and so we also view things that might not even have changed differently. And they can't make albums with the goal to please us. Sure, you want your music to be heard and for that it has to be "popular", whatever that means. But a) you can't please everyone and b) you might end up playing these songs for a year almost every night, so the songs have to be for themselves. And artists experiment. Sometimes they succeed, sometimes they fail, sometimes it's only a mistake or success in hindsight. And let's not forget she grew up in the world of showbiz. But even she gets annoyed once in a while. A.
