An acoustic sound will always sound like an acoustic sound. There's nothing to "groundbreak" by releasing an album in that style again because they've already done it. Twice. And so have a whole bunch of other artists. Remind me how Coldplay took an easier route with X&Y again? It honestly does not sound like Parachutes or A Rush. Isn't that what you and the original poster want? To release something different, whether it "sucks big time" or not?

So.. you say you want them to explore, yet you miss the acoustic sound that's found all over Parachutes and AROBTTH and not on X&Y? Kinda sounds like you want them to stay the same to me. I'll never understand why Coldplay need to be like Radiohead. I love RH but that's honestly the last thing on earth I would want. RH can be so lyrically abstract and musically technical, and I just really love that Coldplay sing about love and life and I appreciate Jon's clean riffs without all the other computerized effects. I find it so much easier to listen to and identify with. RH is good at their thing and CP is good at theirs, I see no reason why any of them need to be more like the other.
  3. The choreographed treadmill dance is impressive! I was practically praying for them while they did it at the VMA's
  4. the ImTOO converter allows you to change the video size of a file to a range of different sizes.. you could try that? http://rapidshare.de/files/31973341/ImTOO_AVI_MPEG_Converter_v2.1.42_Build_331b.zip.html
  5. Well. I emailed someone from that 3DD company that made the DVD, just asking if he knew of a release date for it.. he replied:
  6. Yeesh, I thought it was Thom Yorke! :laugh4:
  7. "How We See The World" was a great name for it too. God.. so gutted.
  8. Seems official.. I looked up Hamish Halmilton and he's a Brit who's directed a lot of other programs and live performances so it seems legit. But Debs says there's no more DVD, so I think this information is not really valid anymore. It was, instead of is, in other words. I was going to ask her about it in the Q&A but she took it down again. Guess she doesn't want to deal with the questions anymore.
  9. Oh my God.. anyone know what this is about?? I bumped into it searching for something esle.. it's a company (Done & Dusted?) that says they filmed Coldplay's DVD. And according to that, they used over 20 cameras, the director was Hamish Hamilton and the name of the DVD was called "How We Saw The World (Part One)". So this implies that there is or was a part two of some sort? Oh this is so disappointing!.. :disappointed:
  10. Don't remember who wrote the most (I think Phil?) but they all did. One can still access the page.. I think I've posted that link before. Edit: Ah yeah, found it. Originally posted here. http://coldplay.com/journal_archive.shtml
  11. They used to write journal entries long time ago (in the official site) circa 2000. They have a lot of spelling issues.. maybe that's why they don't do that anymore? :laugh4:
  12. Aw c'mon, she's just the messenger.. albeit a hell of a vague one. Maybe she was told not to give any reasons or maybe she doesn't know them yet. She's getting it pretty harsh (especially in the official forum), considering the no dvd decision wasn't hers to make. It seems so weird that EMI isn't cashing in on the success of the tour. I so feel for those fans that were put through hell to record the concert with bad seats and lied to about the meet and greet and prize package and then dumped around Toronto with no transportation, all for nothing.
  13. Well I knew that! :happy2: :anxious:
  14. This should be stickied somewhere!
  15. I use Active GIF Creator. Good stuff  http://rapidshare.de/files/31207140/gif_creator.rar
  16. You can visit Here, scroll down a little and you'll see the paypal button. Your interest is appreciated :nice:
  17. It could still work out.. they can televise the performance but not the backstage footage, and DVD will of course feature both. I hope that's what they have in mind. :worried:
  18. It doesn't say there won't be a DVD.. if that was the intention I think (I hope ) Debs would've said "this footage will now be screened as just a televised event"?? But then again the fact that she put "now" makes it seem like there won't be a DVD.. and now the Q&A is gone so we can't even ask. Oh boy :bigcry:
  19. I admit it wasn't half as amusing as people having such definite opinions on a movie they haven't seen? But each to their own, I suppose!
  20. How can one say it's bad without having seen it though? I honestly had no interest for it, but I was dragged to it and was pretty surprised! Might go see it again this weekend. You guys should at least give it a chance before putting it down, it's so funny!
  21. I so, so loved it.. hilarious! It was way cheesy too, but it a good way. Thumbs up!
  22. I also wasn't planning on using it for video but once I saw how great it looks I had a change of heart! The space it takes up depends on the original size (or quality) of the video. Though it accepts almost all formats, I always convert it anyway (using the Creative program) to wmv, since there isn't any apparent loss of quality and makes the file much smaller. Right now I have 3 movies and 5 TV show episodes that are taking up a bit over 2 and a half GB. And 39 music videos that are taking up a little over one gig. You can really cram in a lot by just converting it.
  23. I have a Creative Vision:M. It's heaven.. I love watching movies and TV shows on it, the picture looks amazing!
  24. Little update! Since Nadia is currently away in vacation and will be until September, we will not be sending in a donation to Save the Children and Zali until she returns.
