These polls are all so different. The ones I've in other CP sites are all extremely varied. I've no idea how Coldplay manages to do that, but it's definitely interesting.

That's absolutely true. God how I disliked Amsterdam and A Rush of Blood to the Head and Everything's Not Lost at first and now those songs are my babies for life. You make great sense and put things in perspective in a way that's truly amazing, Miggy. Off topic, but are you a writer or a journalist, maybe?

how is SoS a pessmistic song??? :thinking: Wikipedia is not a source to be quoting after, though. Anyone can edit that therefore we really can't know if it's true; unless it's backed-up by a link or something. SoS is not really pessimistic...Chris has said that it's about disasters and miracles and things that are so fantastic that we can't understand them. Nothing pessimistic (nor optimistic) there. Also... Fix You is not optimistic. I don't believe everything I read from Wiki.

Yep that's true. I have an interview where Chris says they steal bits and peaces from other songs: Square One - Brian Eno What If - John Lennon White Shadows - The Cure and U2 Speed of Sound - Kate Bush Fix You - Elbow And so on. Definitely not Kylie. Could it be just coincidence?

This is my least favorite track. It starts off badly I think, but gets better towards the middle to the end. It is starting to grow on me, finally.
