  1. I remembered what kinda bugs me about this album, the lack of piano in it,and What If just doesn't do it,but the thing is I think Johnny makes up for that with his great riffs.:D
  2. I don't know but to me when you put Swallowed in The Sea and Amsterdam in the same sentence,it just doesn't make sense, because to me Amsterdam is miles and miles better, one of Coldplay's best, while the other is merely a mediocre Coldplay song,so what I'm saying here is I'd rather hear AMSTERDAM.
  3. It's funny now to think that I changed the channel EVERYTIME I heard the opening of In My Place with Will's drums,I don't know why I never even gave it a chance.
  4. Well I liked Trouble when it came out,but I never bothered to even memorize the name of the band,I was totally captured when someone online recomended t The Scientist, the lyrics fit incredibly with a situation I was having with my bestfriend and so I fell in love with the song, and I checked more of their songs and thought yeah they're good,I think I became a fan officially when I got Parachutes and thought it was the best thing, that was I think back in late 2002/early 2003.
  5. I think the only thing that makes me a bit uncomfortable is how most of the songs sound almost too perfect for me,sometimes feels like it lacks simplicity,I don't want to say overproduced,I can't put my hands on what it is. But overall I think it's an excellent record, but I can't say that it's my favourite or any of the other records really, because now it seems like each album stands on it's own, they're all different, which is a good thing to me.
  6. Amsterdam. The thing with Fix You is,It had an immediate impact on me just like Amsterdam, but it quickly lost it's effect,Amsterdam still leaves me in the same awe it left me with when I first heard it.
  7. Oh I know what you mean, that was quite a performance...I think I'll go watch it again. Like I said,I think you could look at this song as either a pethatic rhyming game or a simple but emotional and heartfelt song,I prefer the latter.
  8. I've only heard of them on this very thread and I was bored so I thought I'd try some new music...they're like this music I've always been searching for,all I can say is thank you.:)

  10. You know who I think looks a bit like him,I don't know the actor's name but if you're a Friends fan you'll know who I'm talking about,it's the guy who played Rachel's assistant/boyfriend Tag Jones,I'll look for a pic.
  11. lol,the lyrics made me laugh when I first heard them, sounded like he tried too hard....but then again I can look at it as a simple heartfelt song, not the best on the album but not dreadfully bad or anything...
  12. Let's see,if you mean Cd as in album in general it was a tape Backstreet Boys-Backstreet's Back,if you mean CD as in Cd .....it was Backstreet Boys-Millennium... I'm not ashamed... :P

I downloaded it two times because the video itself isn't working for me,anyone having problems too?
  14. I just noticed that his voice sounded much better back in 2001,now its's more like breathing the words than singing them,I love his live stuff from before better. Him and Coldplay are probably my only non-skippers for a while now too.
  15. His voice is fine once you get used to it,it's not the best but it delivers more than fairly. His brilliance to me lies in his lyrics. They're amusing, smart and very relatable. He comes up with awesome melodies as well, that enough makes him at the top of my list.

    Thank you!:)
  17. John fan right here! Both Room for Squares and Heavier things are excellent albums that I can listen to in their entirty. What's your favourite Song? Mine is "Split Screen Sadness".
  18. ^^Yeah I guess all the nations of the world are starting to take notice of that, years of teaching hate, ignorance and rascism without realizing is finally catching up on them,
  19. I guess you're right, but I was talking about the Islamic world,it's soo depressing to be a Muslim right now, knowing how beautiful your religion is and seeing what those idiots are doing in the name of it,I guess that's always happening to everything good. "If somebody made it,someone will mess it up"
  20. God it's everywhere now, like a disease, and it seems like there's no way out. You don't understand how many people think this way, they're stupid and ignorant more than evil, they're like time bombs, sheep that let themselves be controlled by people like Osama Bin Laden and Alzarqawi,I'm soo scared right now for the world I'm almost shaking,when/how will it end?
  21. ....................painfully sad but still doesn't surprise me. Allah will punish those so called Muslims for the harms they've brought up the world and His message.
  22. This is just scary, just this morning before I went to sleep and before I knew this had happened I was thinking about the fact that I got a scholarship to the UK and I thought"God I'm getting out of my country,Going to Europe,There's a big chance I could be in any of those terrorist attacks"but then I thought"No,London hasn't seen any terrorist attack yet,so I'm probably safe" and then I wake up tp this!I'm beyond mad right now,my prayers are with you and with this sad sad world...
  23. there's alot ofcourse but that's what came to my mind right now. We Never Change "Oh and I don't have a soul to save yeah and I sin every single day"
  24. Yeah,I'm not shying away from the pop label because I don't think it's as bad as people make it out to be. I was jus wondering if there was a category I was missing the name of,I guess I'll continue to refer to these other solo artists as singer/songwriter/guitar/piano people. Thanks alot for the insight everyone.
