  9. i think amph is 16,000 sold out, and acc is 20,000 for the whole thing. soemthing like that
  10. well in quebec they buy tickets from admission.com not ticketmaster so my friend kept checking that website for seats and said they were available throughout the day. but people who work at ticketmaster are dumbasses so i bet they were wrong.
  11. that is very odd. i'm very peeved about this ticket price thing, it's rather ridiculous. i was at my friend's cottage this weekend and obv. not near the internet so i tried to get my friend to buy tickets for me but no such luck. guess i won't be seeing them. c'est la vie. i did see them at the kool haus so all is okay. but i must say it's ridiculous how fast it sold out and how expensive it was. my friend said that she tried yesterday afternoon for montreal tickets and there were still really good seats available, what's up with that?!
  12. justine: i've been to shows at the ACC with folding seats on the floor and they are pretty strict with enforcing who sits where (during the opening acts when people are actually sitting) but when coldplay come on everyone will be on their feet and it won't matter that much.
  13. Gay 'Amazing Race' Contestants Win At Altar by Ben Thompson 365Gay.com Ottawa Bureau Posted: June 1, 2005 4:30 pm ET (Ottawa) They lost out on a million dollar prize rushing across the map on 'The Amazing Race', but Alex Ali and Lynn Warren got the big prize Wednesday - they were legally married in Canada. Hundreds of people showed up early Wednesday morning in Ottawa to see the gay couple from West Hollywood as they entered the conference hall where Canada's Constitution was written. In a meeting room that had been decorated like a wedding chapel, the pair exchanged vows as the ceremony was broadcast live on a local radio station. It is believed it was the first time that a same-sex wedding has been broadcast live anywhere in the world. The wedding was the brainchild of radio station Hot 89.9 which picked up the whole tab - including the flight, honeymoon suite, and bachelor party. For the radio station it meant a huge audience for its morning show. For Ottawa businesses it meant a giant PR boost for tourism. But, for Alex and Lynn it was much, much more - the chance to be legally husband and husband. "Getting married is much more thrilling than Amazing Race because the prize at the end is true love, and happy life ever after," a beaming Warren told CTV shortly after marrying Ali. "It was very emotional because it was very real," Warren said of the ceremony. "And it's something that we've been waiting for years and years." The pair told a press conference later that every gay couple unable to marry in the United States should come to Canada. "It's a big world. Come to Canada, come to Ottawa and have a beautiful wedding and celebrate your love. And be with people who celebrate instead of tolerate," Warren said. For Ali the ceremony was especially emotional. He only came out to his father when he and Warren were chosen to compete on 'Amazing Race'. His father, who lives in Egypt, promptly disowned him. Several relatives who live in the US, including one of his older sisters were more supportive and attended today's ceremony. Warren's brother Stephen and about 40 friends also flew in for the wedding. Also in attendance were Race winners Joyce and Uchenna Agu and fellow contestants Gretchen Smith, Bianca Smith and Debbie Cloyd and mother and son team Patrick and Susan Vaughn. ©365Gay.com 2005

  18. $71 US PER TICKET. OUTRAGEOUS! I know don't hate ticketbastard as much. Although I fear tickets will sell out super fast on Saturday morning which will result in me not getting tickets altogether. I don't care if they are shitty seats, but I think it will be hard to get tickets.
  19. that fucking presale today cost $71USD per ticket (for general admission floor, i think) and $8USD to mail it. i decided not to pay those ridiculous prices. i'll be happy with nosebleed seats.
