  1. Last album I bought was Live 2012, actually. I've been using Spotify religiously since then.
  2. Heavensbee replied to Tash's topic in Coldplay
That scarf is MINE! I love how it has old album symbols along with the Atlas font. That sorta defines the anxious transition period we're in right now.
  3. He seemed like a really good guy vs. most of the actors in Hollywood. F&F was my first favorite movie series and still is today. What a nightmare... he will be missed. Prayers for his family, friends, coworkers, and those who knew him well.
  4. I'm pretty sure they've been working on new material for quite some time. I'm still very optimistic for a mid to late 2014 release... a band that adores their fans and thoroughly enjoys writing, recording, and performing music as much as Coldplay does will never go long without releasing new material. Just look at the album release and touring schedule of their existing albums. I did some research and made some simple calculations based on tour durations, album release dates, and when the first single from each album was released. I came up with some fairly consistent stats: Time between end of previous tour and first single release from next album: Parachutes -> AROBTTH: 16 months AROBTTH -> X&Y: 20 months X&Y -> VLV: 14 months VLV -> MX: 15 months Average: 16.25 months Time between end of previous tour and next album release: Parachutes -> AROBTTH: 16 months AROBTTH -> X&Y: 20 months X&Y -> VLV: 15 months VLV -> MX: 19 months Average: 17.5 months Time between tours (not including one-off shows or festival dates): Parachutes -> AROBTTH: 14 months AROBTTH -> X&Y: 19 months X&Y -> VLV: 15 months VLV -> MX: 19 months Average: 16.75 months SO, if we go off averages, then the first single from LP6 could be released around May 2014 and the album release/tour could begin in June 2014. Starting a tour in the summer happened with VLV, Twisted Logic tour, and AROBTTH tour, even MX tour if you count all the festival dates. That's eerily consistent. I know they'll want to release when they're ready and maybe they don't even care what season it is when they release, but this is all interesting nonetheless. That's why I'm fairly confident in a mid to late 2014 release. And one more tidbit... I remember that rumor posted recently that was translated from French about the album being released sooner than expected. The article mentioned they might delay due to U2's anticipated April 2014 album release and subsequent tour. U2's No Line on the Horizon, their last album, was released in February 2009 and the tour began in June 2009. That's almost 8 months after VLV was released, so maybe there is some merit there and we would have to wait. But, their tours have overlapped before, most recently in June 2009 - October 2009, when the 360 and VLV tours overlapped. They were, however, on different continents during that time period. So who knows? That may or may not be a factor in the LP6 release date.
  5. Jennifer Lawrence and raisins
  6. I'd say by the end of February. That way, if we get one sooner, it will be a pleasant surprise :)
  7. This is an incredibly misleading thread title! I scrambled to find a reason to get excited about a solo album when I first saw it.
  8. For the MX tour in 2012, tickets originally went on sale in mid December 2011 for the North American segment that started in late April and ran through August. That's about 4-8 months in advance of the shows. If they play multiple shows in each major city like they did last time, the promoter (Live Nation) will likely want to reserve those dates far in advance to avoid conflicts, so a 4-8 month period to sell tickets seems reasonable this time around. This is all just speculation, but I would expect the band wants Europe stadium shows to happen in the heart of summer, so those will likely be in summer 2015. As far as Europe and North America arena shows, those can happen at any time and are harder to pin down. There are just so many different scenarios based on when the album is released, so it's kinda difficult to speculate.. all we can do is wait for news and try to compare the timelines to previous albums and tours.
  9. +1. Crowd seemed much more into Jay-Z, except for a few of the sing-along songs like Fix You and VLV. Lack of collaboration disappointed me. I set my hopes too high after watching videos from NYE 2010.
  10. LFDianne, zoeyk, and smallnshort247 summed up everything I was gonna say because they were all sitting right next to me!! A couple of things I want to point out though. The entire Barclays Center staff was very friendly and made the venue a welcoming place. Also, please try the massive slices of cheesecake on the main concourse if you're ever at Barclays again, because they are AMAZING. Just a few of my best pictures:
  11. I spent more time at the water fountain after the show than I ever have at a fountain before. LOL
  12. I went around and collected a few extras after the show that were on the ground. PM sent :)
  13. Agreed. It was expensive, but not entirely cost prohibitive. It did attract a lot of hipsters, as you said, who were just looking for something to do on NYE. Some were even smoking weed in my section (226) at the top, and talking/cursing loudly the entire time, which annoyed me quite a bit. Yet when you compare it to a bar or hotel party that would charge $100 cover for NYE, this was similarly priced. Essentially we paid for two full concerts and a DJ set back to back.
  14. HEY!!!! That was me you ran into (from DC) lol. I've met more Coldplayers than ever this weekend. Just amazing all around. Also, I'm still wearing my wristband :D
  15. I'm looking for an extra single ticket for a friend who now wants to come with my group. I paid $120 for each of mine, and am not looking to pay much more than that. If anybody has an extra PLEASE PM me or preferably email me at [email protected]. THANKS!!!
  16. What the heck is going on in F6 Row 1?? First seats 5 and 7, now 9. Who took all the even numbered seats? lol
  17. You're right, bus 123 and 126 go to either Hoboken or Jersey City. Last ones run at about 1am. I'M SAVED :)
  18. Perfect. I heard somewhere that NYC cabs don't normally take people to Jersey because they can't bring fares back, so they can basically charge whatever they want. But if I need to get home, I need to get home, simple as that. Thanks for all your help :)
  19. More great seats released! Singles on the floor, pairs in the C-stage section, and even $90 tickets in the upper level!
  20. They'll come on at 9, but the question is how long/what time will the opener come on, since there's only one. I tweeted Barclays Center about doors and they didn't respond. So I'm still guessing they'll open at 6, but not 100% sure.
  21. Where are your seats? Ill cya there for both :D
  22. Some good seats have been released on Ticketmaster. Pairs in sections 24 and 9.
  23. All your transit advice has been so helpful!! So the Port Authority said PATH trains will be resuming 24-hour service by New Years Eve which I'm absolutely praying for. I'll probably take the R train from Barclays Center to Cortlandt St. near WTC and transfer to the PATH train to get back to Newport. Fingers crossed.
