I think the beauty of working with Brian Eno is that he probably isn’t a fan of Coldplay. Like, sure he likes them, but he probably isn’t like drooling to listen to their stuff. So, with that mindset, he can tell them what needs to be worked on/tweaked. He isn’t afraid to poke them. When you work with someone who has made millions on pop music and someone who is your biggest fan, you’re not gonna get the best out of someone. JMO
