Out of interest, when you say most of the participants are against the politics of Germany, what is it in particular about the politics they're against? Immigration rules?

I agree, simple lyrics can still be emotional, and in the case of Coldplay, often are! Diversity of opinions is pretty much always good, its just a shame that sometimes that can lead to arguments and divisions. It's true though, its easier to enjoy music in general if you don't try to compare it to things.

With any luck, eventually I'll feel less worried about posting in some threads. I just hate being drawn into stupid arguments XD

Having taken a brief look around the forums though, its reassuring to see the two aren't universally hated

I've been avoiding that thread to be honest, when I looked initially it didn't seem particularly positive XD I really enjoy them both, which in the case of X Marks The Spot is strange, because I wouldn't normally listen to that genre. Saying that, Coldplay's attempts at new things usually go down well with me anyway!
