  1. Ah, I thought you meant she's a fine artist as in she's 'okay.' I think someone in the art world calling it that would be a great sign.
  2. What kind of music does she make or like?
  3. SJLT. They said it on the image. Something Just Like This. A perfect example of a song with great lyrics and poor music, minus Jonny's solo at the end. I feel like I say that last part a lot.
  4. I'm wondering if we'll get to hear Will sing on this album, if he and Jonny have a song together. I love his voice. He's a great singer, for sure.
  5. I'm not sure. Was that snippet the 30 second Trouble in Town teaser? I think it was only 15 seconds but I have to believe that's what they were talking about.
  6. I actually much prefer the original version's beat that OneRepublic created. His version strips out the violin and puts in a generic-sounding piano. IIRC the guitar is taken out, too, near the end.
  7. I will agree with this. Jonny's guitar has become distant in GS and AHFoD. Not in every song, there are exceptions (AHFoD, Birds, AoAL) but it's disappointing. I'm hoping this changes. One does not simply make an album based on 1919 and include Timbaland.
  8. I'm looking at his twitter and he retweeted music from Missy Elliott and it's not music he produced. He used to work with her and apparently likes her new music. I'm not convinced a share means anything.
  9. I don't know what to think. Maybe Timbaland retweeted because he's a friend of the band and previously worked with them. This aesthetic that Coldplay is going for and the clip we've heard, plus the song registered to Jonny, Will and Dan Green, I don't see how they would fit into any of this. I'd rather they weren't involved but I wouldn't die if they produced one song like they did with True Love on GS. Maybe they worked on the "mainstream" album coming in 2020? That's my guess. There's nothing "experimental" about him. Actually, I enjoy the song. I like the cultural vibe of the beats. Could do without the handclaps, though. Overall, wasn't a bad song. But wasn't "Coldplay" either. Hence the different name.
  10. I believe that was Guy.
  11. It's a lovely string piece, not unlike the kind we find on Yes, which is a Middle Eastern-sounding song. That's what I'm thinking. Even if this isn't featured on the album, it's notable that this is who they're taking influence from, rather than, say, Katy Perry and Flo Rida on AHFoD.
  12. I'm assuming they're going to play somewhere in the Middle East by what you guys have said? I'm always averse to hearing songs live after AHFoD because of song production. After I heard Up&Up and Amazing Day live I was in love but then heard the studio versions and felt quite the opposite. Hopefully this album will be different.
  13. Today has been a bust :( But at least I got to talk with some kind Coldplay souls.
  14. Thanks for that :) Interesting titles. I never expected a Coldplay song titled "Daddy." What do I know? Edit: I think it's possible I Ran Away is right that they're placeholders.
  15. It said something about 30 second clips? Do tell.
  16. I hate to be "that" guy but if my calculations are correct, Coldplay's image is...wrong. Because from our perspective, the Sun is passing in front of the Moon. There is no universe where this happens. The Moon eclipses the Sun and thus is closer to Earth. I'm surprised by this, especially because of how smart the guys are.
  17. I have a question. Why are people convinced the song will release on the hour? Does Coldplay have a history of doing that? Just curious
  18. I don't know if it means much but I find it interesting, off what other people said about the solar eclipse on 11/22/1919, that Brazil was the closest country to a complete eclipse and it was the first one to see posters. The UK and France also saw the eclipse. As did the eastern half of the US. I wonder why we haven't seen any posters here yet.
  19. Two weeks? Man. For your sake, I hope it really is today! I hope that regardless but yeah. A new song would make today so much better.
  20. I've been listening to my favorite recent-ish Coldplay songs. Us Against the World, U.F.O., Up with the Birds, Midnight, O and Birds, to be specific. Trying to set a good vibe for the new song, whenever it comes. Leave a light on :)
  21. I don't know what page it was on but someone who was supposed to be reputable in the music industry. This thread was talking about it a few days ago.
  22. I thought that guy from Live Nation said we would get Coldplay news today? Still have hope :)
  23. Man does THIS sound amazing. I'd love to see them working with Eno again. Currently rocking out to Birds in anticipation of tomorrow. Any chance these symbols reference a song rather than the album? Remember when they had all those symbols for the songs during MX?
  24. I don't know if anyone saw but this morning Coldplay updated their Facebook profile picture to an image of a sun and a moon. Edit: Already mentioned by someone. Hoping for big things tomorrow.
  25. The part about this that upsets me the most is the Daft Punk collaboration being fake. They're also one of my favorite artists and this would've been a dream of mine. :(
