  1. A while ago I posted when Simon M Harris and I collaborated on a couple of songs after both being featured on the CCC album. Well, we made another song, so if you're interested, visit my myspace page. It's the first one. http://www.myspace.com/ifiifi
  2. thank you and thank you if i were to take the time to formulate a real response, these two points would have been what i focused on, but by quoting you i saved a lot of time
  3. i much prefer the telecaster and i've tried both, but it's really up to you. if it's your first guitar, just find something really cheap. if you already know how to play the guitar, go try a telecaster and a stratocaster and see which one you like the most.
  4. where are they in that picture? that's a strange beach.
  5. i don't know what all you have already, but getting a good sound can actually be kind of cheap. first i'd suggest finding a mic that is good for both vocals and instruments. i'd look for a dynamic mic as they will be better for general use. this one will probably be good for now based on the reviews, but if you look around i'm sure you can find some you'll like as well. (sorry it isn't a UK store) http://www.musiciansfriend.com/product/Behringer-XM8500-Microphone?sku=270490 i have had exerience with behringer--even their really inexpensive products are very good. i have never used this mic but i wouldn't have any problems buying it. If you want to go a big more expensive, one of the mics that you might look into is the shure sm57 or sm58. the sm57 is a condenser mic, but the sm58 is a mic designed pretty much for vocals. it is five times as expensive, but it might be worth it to you. http://www.musiciansfriend.com/product/Shure-SM58-Mic?sku=270101 next i would look into buying either a mic preamp or a small mixer with some less expensive preamps build in. i hate to recommend only behringer products so far, but the mic was unintended. i own this following mixer, and it's much more than i expected it to be; it really improved the sound i got from my mics, and it's so inexpensive. http://www.zzounds.com/item--BEHUB802 obviously you'll need some mic cables. if you buy a mixer, you can use the quarter-inch output and use an adapter to run the output of your mixer directly into the mic input on your computer's soundboard. sorry if this didn't answer your question, and i hope i didn't tell you things you already knew. edit: i'm speaking from my knowledge of producing. some of this stuff might sound completely wrong to others with a bit more knowledge in the subject.
  6. your prelude in c# is so good. thumbs up. i added you to my soundclick.
  7. my idea would be that it's a true bypass system for all of his pedals, but the number of pedals doesn't match up with the number of switches in the lower box.
  8. if by far you mean one semitone, then yes, it is far.
  9. well you either play bar chords with your index finger as the base or use your thumb for the sixth string. chris plays his chords using his thumb for the sixth string since he usually keeps the first and second string open. maybe you two could actually answer mixoz rather than trying to disprove my post. maybe?
  10. he plays the 6th string with his thumb... i don't know if that helps you at all.
  11. ok, then that makes sense. i'm pretty sure he uses a 410, i know i've read it somewhere, and plus you have a second opinion on that. either way, the 410 is more power. the only problem is that just by having the same amp, you can't sound like jonny without perfect mic placement. mic placement can either ruin or keep your sound.
  12. what do you mean, the right ones? are you buying 2 $800 amps just because jonny buckland uses the same setup? have you tried these amps in a store?
  13. you asked for pics, if there is such a small difference how would pics help you?
  14. 410, the 212 is a rectangle while the 410 is a square. (4 10" speakers compared to 2 12" speakers.)
  15. i was skimming through it so yeah i missed that. sorry
  16. tune your guitar down one half step and play a E

  18. for the radiohead one... 1 Thinking About You 2 (Nice Dream) 3 Just 4 Street Spirit (Fade Out) 5 Paranoid Android 6 No Surprises 7 How to Disappear Completely 8 Motion Picture Soundtrack 9 Pyramid Song 10 Knives Out 11 2+2=5 12 Where I End And You Begin 13 There There 14 A Wolf At The Door 15 Polyethylene 16 True Love Waits oh, you said PH to HTTT inclusive, whoops
  19. does anyone here have a particular preference? i'm in the market for a new laptop, and seeing as macs can now run windows xp, http://www.apple.com/macosx/bootcamp/publicbeta.html, i might get a mac. i have used a mac only a few times though, and i'll have to try one out before making my choice. has anyone tried the bootcamp thing? if so, does it work well?
  20. if you can send me the files i can combine them into one mp3 and split them as you want
  21. i'm pretty sure on about 90% of these chords. if you need me to draw them out i can do that as well. (E G#dim F#7#5) x 3 (B9 E) x 1 (E Emaj7 E7 F#7#5) x 1 (E Emaj7 E9 A) x 2 (A B9 E) x 1 (E E7 E6) x 4 (E G#dim F#7#5) x 3 (B9 E) x 1 (E Emaj7 E7 F#7#5) x 1 (E Emaj7 E9 A) x 2 (A B9 E) x 1 (E E7 E6) x 4 (E Emaj7 E7 F#7#5) x 1 (E Emaj7 E9 A) x 2 (A B9 E) x 1 (E E7 E6) x 12 (E b f#) x 4 I think that's close to being correct. I'm not exactly a music major but I can say with some confidence that those chord names are correct.
  22. i wouldn't say ibanez but i wouldn't say someone is an idiot for saying so. ibanez makes good guitars, they're just for different styles of music. gibson makes nice guitars as well. personally i'm strictly a fender user.
