  1. I get why you would like it, but I just can't get in to it. The vocal style and guitar effect really bothers me :/
  2. tbh I don't really like Coldplay's songs before Parachutes except for See You Soon.
  3. Brothers and Sisters
  4. I think Mylo Xyloto, besides just sounding cool, gets extra points for creativity lol
  5. I think you're talking about Xylophones, but I may be mistaken. Anyway, that's interesting:)
  6. Mylo Xyloto is indeed a very cool title:) I wonder how they came up with it. It's not easy to just make a new word lol.
  7. Oh, so if I like their music, and as a fan, decide to trust what they say, I'm naive. OK. Don't care if you're "just being honest", someone who decides to go on a fan forum and bash everything new they make is just plain annoying.
  8. Hah, I like how you first insulted me saying that what I said was "what a petulant child would say" but then deleted it. Good move. Yeah, I get that oldplayers don't like that Coldplay are going pop, and you guys are bitter(you said it, not me). But that doesn't mean it's reasonable to go around calling them sell-outs and insulting their recent output every chance you get. Remember, this is a FAN forum, and it might come as a shock to you, but the majority of the people here like Coldplay. Criticism is good at a moderate amount, and when it doesn't come off as hate.
  9. If you really think that the reason they changed their direction is because they wan't more money and not... I don't know, change of musical taste? I feel sorry for how deluded you are. The man who once loved U2, Oasis, and other rock bands now also (or more) loves pop. That reflects on the result of the music. Look at what he shares on Facebook. You think he forces himself to listen to that and like it to get more money? Also, by suggesting that he does it for tgh money, you are suggesting that all the things he says about enjoying making the new album is a lie. I don't see how you can be a fan without even trusting what they say. People can decide to do things that may not look like "the artistic way" to you, but that doesn't mean that they are doing it for the money. p.s. If you don't mind, please being so cynical and spreading hate all around this forum. I would really appreciate it if you left that in the Oldplaying thread.
  10. I'm a measely 6 Coldplay years old :)
  11. Aren't we all...;)
  12. That's alot of years!:D Welcome to Coldplaying!
  13. His voice is super weird because it's so inconsistent. One show it's the best thing ever, next show it cracks like hell. Hmm...
  14. lol didn't watch video before posting. But still, does it sound the same?(minus the volume, obviously)
  15. Is it important to have ear protection in concerts? I would think that it makes the sound less crisp.
  16. Why do Coldplay never put The Scientist in tgeir live albums?
  17. Is it related to facts outside the song? (chart position, release etc)
  18. Yeah me neither lol. Although it's bothering a bit less now after listening to it so many times.
  19. I think he said it like that to make it sound like "koo" as in Birds, you know?
  20. ^Yeah he definetly got it
  21. Haha I can imagine that:D
  22. Knew it! But why suddenly? Has it been consistently climbing and we just noticed?
