Edit by Sparky - HFTW video has been released! ========= well, there are plenty of rumors going around that we are about to get the video for the second single. so thought we should start a thread on it. so according to this, the indian shoot was for hftw! i'm not exactly sure how feeling drunk and high might work with scenes of kids in a holi festival... but there were rumors about this actress being involved back then too. let's see how it turns out. SONAM, BEY MAKE MUSIC Coldplay; (right) Beyonce The actress features in Brit band Coldplay's new single along side the American pop diva. After an impromptu performance at a watering hole in De…

  6. Article Via BBC x Parts of the video are based in India during the Holi Festival when people throw brightly coloured powder at each other. It shows Chris Martin travelling past ancient sites and through crowded streets in a tuk tuk. But, the filming of Hymn for the Weekend is causing some people to say Coldplay is using India as a backdrop for the wrong reasons. And, what's causing most of a stir is Beyonce in traditional Indian dress. Critics say it's "appropriation" or misusing bits of Indian culture, others have an issue with Beyonce dressing up. "Beyonce's cultural appropriation is tasteless" says one. But others point o…

I was looking for acoustic covers of this song and found this....I listened to a lot of other covers, but I feel this is the best! Great vocals and harmonies. Loved it. What do you guys think? I absolutely love this song, and a piano only cover is so refreshing, such a catchy melody. Sorry moderators if this is the wrong place to post this, I'm new here! Please move it to the right place if so :)

  8. Surely Hymn for the Weekend could gain momentum much faster on the charts if Beyoncé was actually credited for being a featured artist in the track title. The band did feature Tove Lo in the title on Fun even though she only provides backing vocals. Perhaps Beyoncé's camp didn't think that she wasn't featured prominently enough to be credited in the title, although she does have a pretty noticeable role. When HFTW is released as a single it is possible they could backtrack and will likely include her name on the song when it's released to radio stations. Is this only bugging me :p? If only because the track could be more popular with her name plastered on it, not that it …

  9. Started by Nie,

I noticed there isn't a lyrics thread for this one yet. Here are the official lyrics, but I have changed them a bit with what I can hear. oh angel sent from up above you know you make my world light up when I was down, when I was hurt you came to lift me up life is a drink and love’s a drug oh now I think I must be miles up when I was a river dried up you came to rain a flood you said ‘drink from me, drink from me’ when I was so thirsty poured on a symphony now I just can’t get enough put your wings on me, wings on me when I was so heavy poured on a symphony when I’m low low low low I oh I oh I got me feeling drunk and high so high so high …
