Doesn't Christianity (atleast in western countries) have a bigger meaning than just a religion? It's part of the culture, you can even see religious references in everyday language. Churches are as much as cultural heritage as they are religious buildings. I think it's bound to be that there will be religious images in the songs. And frankly, I don't see the problem of him writing religious references into the lyrics. He's supposed to express himself in a song, how's he supposed to do that without mentioning religion, which is a large chunk of a religious person's life? It's not like he's ever said in an interview "Believe in god, people!". He's mever been too obnoxious about it.

I don't really care for Bruno, but I don't really recall him stripping himself on any music videos haha:D Joking aside, I agree. It seems people are only interested in seeing big, extravagant acts and don't care about the actual music. Which I guess is fair if they're just looking to be entertained, but still. Give Coldplay a chance people!

Okay, I really like how Chris is so humble and super nice, but this is way too much. Why would he give "the biggest moment of our band" away to Beyonce? You don't have to be THAT nice[emoji53]

Ofcourse! "admit defeat" makes much more sense:) Although, I did have a sorta-explanation in my head for "staring at feet":D That line is really cool, bit my favourite lyric from that song is "I'd rather be a comma, than a full stop". It seems simple but it really hits me in the right spot:)

Yeah I was actually suprised when I realised the lyrics were "Staring at darkness, at the feet". That line is really depressing. I agree it is the saddest song in AHFOD:)

I don't get why so many people say that Chris sucks at writing lyrics now. For me it has always been consistant since AROBTTH, or even gotten better. People seem to use just one line: "baboom baboom boom" as evidence that Chris' lyricism has gotten worse.

How, just HOW do you get that wrong? That's not a matter of not caring for the band, that's just plain stupid and lazy. To be honest I'm not mad, I think it's kinda funny lol.

AHFOD is becoming one of my favourite albums by Coldplay. There are a few mistakes here and there(mostly production) but I just love it :)

Yes I agree. I didn't try to say that negative things shouldn't be said. Just that it might be a reason to why some people don't really like negative posts :)
