Haha.. I took my child to a b-day party at a roller rink. Talk about flashbacks! All the memories came flooding back..the carpet, the music, the lights going down. For a quick second I thought about strapping on some skates, but I used my better judgement and decided against it. :lol:

 

Ah the memories, except back then it was cooler.. 'cause they cranked out the 80's hits that I sooo loved! :cool:

Seriously! Now that I'm a mom my thoughts were like "okay this place is a potential ER visit." The rink itself is capable of giving a concussion with just the slightest fall, which by the way sounds like you had!! If not the floor, those concrete walls that line the outer edge can be a pain, I saw a girl SLAM into one today!! I remember back in the day a kid didn't even get off the carpet and he fell and broke his arm :o (talk about coordinated) :lol: No really, that's sad!!

 

Umm, maybe that's why rinks are far and few between these days. :idea2:

I love roller rinks. But I love ice rinks even more, which are probably even more dangerous. :P

 

But I used to play ice hockey so I usually had a bit of an advantage. :P

Ohh I love ice rinks too! When I lived in CT I learned to ice skate (even played a little ice hockey just messing around!) I want to take my kids now that we have a rink close by! Yep, it'd be dangerous too, but I'm partial to the ice, so we could chance it. :P
