I'm happy with Microsoft

I don't see why people have a problem with Microsoft software. Windows XP is compatible, stable and user friendly, and Internet Explorer and Windows Media Player both do their jobs as well as can be asked of them.

Perhaps it's because the name "Microsoft" conjures up images of Bill Gates sitting in an ivory tower, bathing in hundred dollar bills and evilly cackling at everyone below him...

I didn't really have a problem with Microsoft stuff, but once I tried Mozilla, I loved it, and I'll never use Internet Explorer again. It's so much better with pop ups, cookies, and other security stuff, and you can't beat their tabbed browsing. ;)

Alright, I'm now trying Firefox.

I'm not noticing much of an improvement just yet, give it a few days and I'll probably notice something.

Advice to get a good configuration:

Install Java 1.4 http://www.java.com/en/download/windows_manual.jsp

Install Shockwave

Install Flashplayer

Good luck. ;)
