Yep. It hit Kingston pretty hard. But it was over by mid-day. Nothing like ''98...THANK GOD!

What was 98? the ice storm?

Oh Yeah!!! We got it bad here. Not as bad as parts of Ottawa and Quebec, but bad enough. I thought the East Coast got some of it too.

i forgot you guys were in canada, and i was like what?? :laugh3:

It was brutal. I don't know if you heard about it on the news, but it was definitely newsworthy.

Love the new avi...but Albie's the legend. I thought you were 'Son Of Albie'

No, we never really got much of the ice storm here- saw plenty of it on the news, though. Had 'White Juan' (and Juan) to make up for it a few years later.

The Arcade Fire wrote "Power Out" about that ice storm if I remember right...

Getting pummeled now... the wind is howling all around the house, and driving the snow against the side my room is on... not sure how I'm going to sleep tonight :(

lol. I posted last night at about this time in this thread that I didn't know how I'd sleep with the wind and the ice hitting my window. A huge tree branch came down outside my place this morning, and then there were power outs at the studio...I was having flashbacks!

I'm not liking the prospects of sleeping with all this racket either!

Hey do we have a Canada thread yet? we should start one.

There's one in the international section... but where we speak English, no one ever posts in it...

I saw a bit of your weather on CTV...looks pretty bad.

There's a Canadian music thread, but I don't think we have our rightful place in the international forum, lol.

Sorry, Erin. We must have posted at the same time...Someone resurrect it!

Its funny to me that Canada is a foreign country, as I live five minutes away.

I can look off the board walk and see a whole other country.

I am going to go bring it back! or start a new one

Oh yeah you're just a stones throw away.

Literally.

I used to goto Cantera Park alll the time for the beach, because on our side, its all rocks, with algae and it makes you slip, and they hurt, and on your side the beach is nice and sandy.

Cool....I haven't really been to Ontario much. I went to Ottawa for a few days but that is it.

Will do.

 Yeah, I get that feeling every time I cross the bridge to Maine. It's weird, though. I went to Ireland, and yeah there were major differences, but it was the things that were the same that stood out. I moved to New Hampshire for a year, and after awhile all the little things really started to add up.

I like Michigan people though. They're the only ones who believe me that soda is called 'pop'.

Asians can't drive..one just pulled out in front of me...he just backed out of his driveway like he was the only person on the road.....

Aw...I just searched four pages in International to find it...I should have just let someone with a faster computer do all the work, lol.;)
