I don't think there is any organization that makes me more mad than Autism Speaks.

Well, first of all. They portray everyone on the spectrum as hopeless and diseased children who will bankrupt you and destroy your life and marriage and make you too ashamed to leave your house. You will cry everyday and contemplate driving off a cliff with your child.

 

Their main goal is to cure autism and "make autism a word in the history books".

 

Nobody in the organization is autistic, they have sued and almost sued autistic people for things like parody sites and shirts say they can speak for themselves. Almost all their money goes to the employees who almost all make over 100k a year and one who even makes over 600k.
