democracy doesn't exist here, what a shit result those are. :disappointed:

I read that the conservatives won - something like 43% against 30% to the former government.

I don't think I've ever been so disappointed to try and find someone on Facebook only to find out that they don't have one, I really like you. D;

thing is our electoral law shall change,

happen that the 'second' force more voted is the non-voted, 28% (9 million), and that isn't going to be reflected on having less seats occupied on the senate or parliament. :\ on the opposite that just benefit the parties, which doesn't show the real will of those who don't vote. we shall have two rounds aswell.

28% = 9 million did not vote? That is a high percentage of the population.

I remember following the terror bombs against some trains on 11 March 2004. The conservatives said that ETA was behind that - it was not al-Quida - they persisted in saying that and lost the election.

yeah a high one, same percentage as last year local elections. in which case would had meant to have had given total power to a party, seeing the winner had only 7 millions of votes.

well i personally think about that bombing that not all the truth has been said, many stuff of the procotol was done badly and there's no responsible for it yet, plus seems to me be it planned or not, fact is the country feels more divided and parties seem to like that, which is not good for the people, imo.

sorry for the twilight saga lover, but they are showing one of the movies now (new moon), and i had never seen such a slow, unexpressive movie before. may is my mood, or that i hadn't watch the first beforehand but what a pain of a movie.

wow i predict another HUGE Nightwish album :|

Less than 25% of our eligible population voted Conservative, yet the Conservatives got in with a majority! Voter apathy seems to be a problem world wide.

I';m thinking I need to go out later.

Well there are some reasons for voter apathy. (1) disgust at the corruption in any party, or in the whole government. see Occupy Everywhere. (2) overworked and numbed from life, some loose hope and don't vote. (3) Life's just swell, and then why bother! .. And one I ran across here, (4) sheer apathy, until the beer runs out.

>But when the conservatives made their comeback in 2010 since the economy was sliding further, oh what an eye opener it was for the voters when the conservatives got into office and started to enact their policies! So sometimes a little "austerity" is all it takes to move the masses.;)

They never end the tax breaks for the rich, but oh do they ever love to cut health care, education, and just about every other program they can.

Why do I always feel crappy on Sundays? :/

And I HAVE SCHOOL TOMORROW AND TUESDAY. :bigcry:

Grab the bull by the horns tomorrow, take on school like wrestling a bull - you can do it!

I don't miss those days! Though once in a while even though I'm in my 40s, I still have an 'oh shit, I'm late for school' dream, lol.

I actually like school normally (math geek *cough*), but I don't really like it when I have two tests a day before we go on holiday.

YES I GOT IN TO ALL-STATE CHORALE! :awesome:

just study and prepare exceptionally well, get a good night's rest, and do your best worry-free. ;) Aim to top the best you've done before, forget about trying to compete with others, that's a distraction from the goal of being your best.

well it's hard to describe in real time. There are all these synapses, firing motor neurons, neurotransmitters, sodium-potassium pumps and electrical ion waves on the surface of each nerve cell, a rather complex structure more than one can describe in a sentence or two. Broken down into units, it makes better sense, but what an amazing thing!

I'm thinking I might still have the letter I got from Chuck a few years back. I hope so! (I've moved 3 times, and lost some things along the way, but it's here somewhere.) :)

I'm also thinking I make a lousy pen-pal,lol.

So tired of this bullshit... I'm going to say something today, and if things don't change then I'll just transfer or quit. I don't mind helping out. I am MORE than reasonable and lenient but will not be taken advantage of.

Get your lazy ass up, turn on some good music, grab a pen and get your pictures done!

according to AFSC, 60% of the Federal Budget here in the US goes into Military & Military related expenditures. Only 6% into Education, 2% into Justice, 1.5% into NASA. We spend, from what I recall, 10X more than the next highest spending nation on "defense". What if we pared that back to only 3X more? Freeing up 40% of the federal budget could go a long ways towards repairing our infrastructure, improving the quality of education, building peace-supporting equipment like water infrastructure for the horn of Africa, high-speed rail, revamping a huge number of homes and offices to high efficiency standards, and building the green economy, plus put money back into the hands of average citizens to bolster the economy.

ColdplayOlivia is the best. :dazzled:

Come on you have time...Just be more proactive... On the bright side I'm glad you didn't let it control you.. :)
