I just downloaded the song "Idiot", ive never heard this before, and was wondering if anyone could tell me if coldplay wrote, or is it a cover? and also did they ever do a studio version? as the one i have is a live version.

I'm pretty sure they wrote it themselves. Don't think they ever released a studio version.

Thanks jette, its a pity cos it sounds like a good song, but the live version isnt very good quality. I love the line "I run around like a chicken with its head cut" not ya classic coldplay line but gr8 all the same!

yeah, I guess we have the same version. I downloaded "Idiot" a long time ago, and it´s very good song. Although the quality is poor...But I guess it isn´t a cover. Coldplay have some songs which they only played live, this one can be. I don´t know if it´s a b-side...

Im sure its not a B'side. It Just tease's you when you here a gr8 live song, i just wanna here a studio version aswell , although sumtimes live versions can be better than if it was a studio version.
