NME, Why did you cover Maps?

Chris Martin, "I'd really like to do it properly. It's just so beautiful. It reminds me of driving around South America with Jonny (Buckland). We went on a quick holiday together. Listened to that album and U2's Zooropa, got very depressed and started making music."

Whats maps? when did they cover it and who is it by?

"Maps" by the YEAH YEAH YEAH's

one of the best songs of the last couple years

well from one of those two concerts, the 11th at troubadour and 12th at kcrw. i think it must have been the 11th since most people have the new songs and entire set from the 12th, not including maps.

Oh wow, that would be awesome to hear. Does anyone have it?

yeah, if anyone has maps i would love to hear it!

of course it is

of course it is the one by the yeah yeah yeahs.

that song is very coldplay-esque

in the way that the guitar parts are layered, reverbed, delayed, etc..

and the chord progression

and the lyrics even

and if you REALLY wanted to, you could say the melody is similar to "see you soon"

and that song was big in the US and UK

Does anyone have the troubadour show bootlegged?

hahha and Ryan said it sucked! Even Chris Martin likes the song Ryan!!!! :P :P :P
