Worst. Album Cover. Ever.

I beg to differ..........the oasis heathen chemistry cover is a COMPLETE rip off of U2 and "All That You Cant Leave Behind". This was inventive, creative, and it would make you stop and look. Also we havent heard the explanation yet as to what it means. So :P

I agree with owenrees...I'm loving it now, even. It is true that the more you look at it, the better it appears. Love how it's so imaginative and original.

But what the hell is it supposed to be?

you will find out in the new e-zine.......but just because we dont know what it means yet doesnt mean it cant be good. the reason they dont tell you right away is so you can try and have your own interpretation of it. as soon as they tell you its about penguins, your gonna just be like oh ya that cover means penguins....... this way you think for yourself: :idea2:

see i just asked my friend and she said it looks like a bottle. and then she said wait, a street with houses......then she said well x&y can be variables, so perhaps this picture represents that because there are squares with no colour and such so you can in your mind make it what you want, thus the variables.... so see it is very creative and gets people thinking..........and honestly if you saw that amongst the gangsta and boy band covers you would stop and look. it stands out.

I still think it's too abstract artsy for me... perhaps it'll grow on me though...

The cover is ugly as sin. THe use of a grid may indicate X and Y coordinates like in math, but its still boring. Original doesn't always equate to "good."

 

The reason it has never been done may be because its so ugly that everyone else scrapped the album artwork, while Coldplay thought it was cool.

Mark Mappin did the artwork, he also did something for the chemical brothers as well I think.

ezine are run every 3 months or so.. so think back to when we got the last one.. wasnt it in Jan.???
