I did, but I didn't win

Argh, that's sad  . Do you know what really makes me mad? There were probably people there who are really not fans... I wish only the real fans were given this opportunity.

That makes me mad too

Why, why

i think that banner gives us a clue to the art, i mean its basically the artwork with the middle cut out, and an x and a y added below........does this mean we are supposed to look at it vertically?

:idea2: I think so.

Thanks to mrmiddel from coldplayfans.nl a lot of die hard fans got in. If you live in Holland and you're a die hard fan, you had a 90% chance of being there I think.

Some random remarks:

Square One: Didn't like it on the KRCW bootleg, but it's a great live track. It starts out with Chris singing on the back of the stage in the dark. They followed it with Politik. Great way to open a concert. I've never seen Jon and Will this passionate.

Speed Of Sound: Great track. Already sounded familiar

Warning Sign: Great song, but I never liked the live versions. This time they nailed it.

X&Y: Didn't seem too special. A bit too many ooohohoooho's for my taste

Yellow: This really was the highlight of the night. We had prepared a special surprise for the band. All coldplayfans.nl members had yellow hearts and we put them in the air at the start of the song and threw them on stage at the end. One of the most magical moments of my life. Lots of thanks to gretel for cutting all those hearts!

Low: Killer track. Coldplay goes Interpol!

Til Kingdom Come: Chris had to start over. An annoying drunk girl next to me kind of ruined it. I almost got into a fight.

What If: If you like it on the bootleg, you'll love it. It's starting to grow on me.

Clocks: Not the best version I've heard

A Message: very good song. Exactly like on the KRCW bootleg

In My Place: Chris sang a bit from "mooie ellebogen". We had been singing that song all day long. :)

Amsterdam: This one was really, really, really bad. They completely fucked up the song. You can't really blame them, coz obviously this was a warm-up gig but they should've stopped it and played another song.

All in all an amazing concert. They made quite a lot of mistakes throughout the set, so it definately wasn't their best concert I've seen. But like I said, you can't blame it. And it still was a magical experience and the one concert I'll remember for the rest of my life.

I joined your competition' date=' Mathieu, but I didn't got a ticket [/quote']

Sorry for that. We had to cut the list down to 30. It wasn't easy. :(

Must be a hard task that one. How did you pick the ones who got to go? Did they have to explain why they should go?

:/ Too bad.

Must be a hard task that one. How did you pick the ones who got to go? Did they have to explain why they should go?

They had to answer 5 (difficult) questions correctly and explain why they should go.

Can you post the questions here?

Did it matter if you had a question wrong?

Did it matter if you had a question wrong?

We did narrow the list down first to the people who had all questions right.

*Who is responsible for keeping Warning Sign on AROBTTH?

We kind of fucked up on this question. It should've said A Whisper and the answer should've been Ian McCullough. Now the correct answer is the band minus Chris. But everyone got that one right. (the answer was in our song-section, so...)

*Chris Martin recorded the soundtrack for a movie with Ash. What movie?

Shaun Of The Dead

*Who said that coldplay is music for bedwetters?

Alan McGee

*Legend has it Chris Martin first wanted to start a boysband. What's the name of that boysband?

Pectoralz

*What song was only aired on Dutch radio, but never appeared on an album or single?

Harmless (a lot of people got this one wrong)

I see. Good questions. No silly, simple ones like: "What's the name of their first album?"

3FM (a radio station) also gave away tickets. They asked what the name of Chris Martin's baby was.

People who had original questions could also win in that contest. Most of the questions were anything but original.

Damn good questions.

We need some secret gigs in America :D

When did you get to know that Coldplay would be there?

and how?

When did you get to know that Coldplay would be there?

and how?

We knew it would be somewhere in the Netherlands, because of the various contests going on. When the first winners received emails, it read that everyone was expected to be in Amsterdam at 17:00 CET, so that kinda gave away the city in which they were playing :D

A couple of people guessed the exact location when a member of the organisation asked us if we had any idea where the gig could be held, though they didn't gave it away just yet.

I think somebody received a phonecall from somebody else saying there was a Coldplay tourbus at the Melkweg, in which they were about to play, so it kinda got leaked a bit early.

:( Lucky you...
