August 28, 200619 yr I have a very varied musical taste containing: Rock, in many different forms (alternative, classic, metal, punk, indie etc) Classical, you can't beat the masters. Jazz and Blues. I adore them even though I've just got into them & don't really know much about them. I also listen to a wee bit of Opera and Rap.

August 29, 200619 yr Umm I get confused with Genres because when I read the official genre for some albums it seems completely different to what it sounds like. e.g: For AROBTTH it has alternative and punk. The first part sure but I hardly think its punk! At least not my definition of punk. I generally like Alternative, Indie, Folk and Easy-Listening. ~ Some bands I like ~ Coldplay (Dah!) Radiohead Belle and Sebastian Elliott Smith Sigur Ros Seu Jorge The Velvet Underground The Dresden Dolls Muse G'N'R Architecture in Helsinki The Kooks That's just to name a few... :P
August 29, 200619 yr I think actually i like every kind of music......because sometimes there are certain songs I just like....I don't care which music style it is then-----I think if your music taste is limited that's not good........I think it's boring......in my opinion there are many good songs which are of different music types....and we have to remember one thing: it all began with a few kinds of music...... and then it improved...

I would only go as far to say I -like- a few artists. Kanye West, Will Smith (origional is good), some Jay-Z and some Eminem. I like the clever lyrics and well wrote hip hop tracks, I don't like the tracks that are all about sex and naked women, which is what the majority of mainstream hip hop is about. I like the concept of rapping and the rhyming and the way it's sung. Hip hop isn't my favourite genre by a long way though. I like softer rock and indie music most. Bands like Red Hot Chili Peppers, The Strokes, Stereophonics, Kasabian, Coldplay... I can't stand some indie though, I hate the bands that have really pronounced accents. Arctic Monkeys, I can't stand them cause they were so hyped. I know it's not a fair way to judge a band, but... really... I don't like bands that EVERYONE loves. Just my nature. The Kooks are another band that I don't like for this reason, they have the accent thing on aswell. They have a few good songs but their album is AWFUL. Dance / Trance and all that music makes my ears bleed. Same with really heavy rock (Slipknot, Korn and all that). I'd say I was picky about music. I know what I like though.

So you see them- the dressed in black, "dark" person with emo lined eyes and then me- the Coldplay t-shirt wearing person next to them and it's total opposite.
