I read on an article(cant find it anymore) that coldplay is going to make a total of 5 albums. does anyone know if this is true?

I think it is. They are expecting sales of over 10 million.

i don't remember now if i read it (i think yes).. but more bands also record a few albums and then they slipt and they become a legend.... anyways i think it was a comment from the band because they were a bit stressed working... so i don't care. :)

hmmm this is good/bad news......i love coldplay and its good that they are contractually stuck at making 5 albums, but bad because i hope they dont stop at that......although i would understand

Guys, I don't think they even have decided wether they're gonna make nr. 4. But hey, let's hope they make music as long as they've got something to share with us.

Well if they signed a deal and all then they would have to make a 4th, but if they didnt then they might not, and that would suck!

a record contract doesnt always mean what it says though....just coz they signed u for 5 albums doesnt mean that they have to complete them all. like u say one of the 5 will prob be a best of. but theoretically, the album company could drop them before the 5 albums are up (tho dont think this will happen!) or the boys prob could pull out of their contract but they might have to pay money or something. it depends on whether the record company would be happy to release them or not. i think they will stay though and complete at least 4 with a boxset or something, but this will be years away- think about where coldplay were 5 years ago and where they might be in 5 years time- you never know what might happen!!!!
