Has Rock Stopped Rolling?

Aww of course .

Glad you enjoyed them!

Yeah The Seed by the roots is one of my fav songs.

I love the flow

If you're looking for good rap also try out MF Doom / Madvillain. Also Deltron 3030 is a kickass concept album similiar to Gorillaz.

Linkin Park made Jay-Z's songs a million times better. 99 Problems absolutely sucked, and then when it was mixed with Points of Authority and One Step Closer, I just completely got hooked on the song! But honestly, rap is only good if you hear it once in a while. Otherwise I just can't stand it.

i totaly agre with u

btw, my brother made a website about them (LP)

see now I USE TO like Jay Z... back in 95... to me thats when good rap stopped. It must have died or something.. lol the only rapper out right now, who in my opinion is 'saying something' is Common, Kanye, EM (to a certain extent) and thats it.

I disagree

the REAL good rap was back in the 80s

The child is born without the state of mind, blind to the ways of man kind....

The Rolling Stone article mentions Philadelphia as one of the cities that lost a "premier rock station" recently. It's really funny to see some of the outrage people have shown. The fired DJ's even started the whole station over online, and started circulating a petition to bring them back, using the ridiculous slogan "You have no alternative!" (meaning that y100 was apparently the ONLY way in Philly to hear "alternative rock") And all of a sudden people who hadn't listened to that station in months were up in arms, furious that it had been replaced by an R & B station. I don't think they disliked R & B, it's just that we had about three stations for that now already.

Anyway, the whole thing was just ridiculous. It's stupid to make a martyr out of a commercial radio station that was the same as all the other ones except playing the same Franz Ferdinand song 10 times a day instead of the same Jay-Z song 10 times a day. I'm not taking sides in the rock vs. hip hop thing that seems to be happening here, I'm just saying commercial radio sucks either way. Which was what the post was originally about. :P
