I love the Coldplay change! I hate it when they're described as "soft rock"...there's so much more to them then just Parachutes and it's great for people to see that.

I kinda don't like it, but I'm a real Coldplay fan and I'm gonna still with them

In the New Talk, there's a part towards the end, that I hear a keyboard, it's awesome :D

This album has continued to get better and better with each listen. Definitely a darker, more complex and harder sounding album. I'm glad Coldplay is moving forward and developing and experimenting with different sounds. This album is so HUGE, i'm still amazed. I will be interested to read this board in a few weeks and see how everyone has truly digested this album. Just in 2 days, I have seen people say they don't like certain tracks and then coming back after listening more and being blown away by them. Coldplay grows and grows on you and their replay value is second to none. Give it time Albie :)

It took me a few months of listening to AROBTH before I really appreciated it. Although, now it's my least favorite album by Coldplay lol.

 

And besides, if it's not your thing, at least you know the next album will sound completly different from this as well :)

I hear you Albie. Just keep listening and hopefully it will reveal its true beauty. I've always liked really melodic and atmospheric stuff. This album hits all of my favorite musical themes more than the previous 2. However, more piano would have been nice :)

oh i love the rocky ones...thats why i love talk so much now..the earlier version was good, but it was just average..this new one is brilliant...i didnt have to have X&Y grow on me, i love each and every last song

I don't need the album to grow on me either...it's awesome! Except maybe for The Hardest Part...that has to grow on me, but it's half way there already!

you know, i think this album was made to be played as loud as you can... i did it and i was blown away by the rocky ones.. maybe that'll help you albie
