The first time I heard X&Y completely I noticed that songs were not as upbeat as A Rush of Blood to the Head...but the one quality of Coldplay is that their songs grow on you, they're earworms that burrow their way into you head and continously work ther way throughout the day...

I am in search of tickets for their San Diego performance in August 26th...I want front row seats!

They give me such a rush!!!!!!!

The lyrics is delicious nectar to my ears....

Where I live, it is rare to love and admire Coldplay's work, although when I saw the Speed of Sound video. it gave the sensation that it was reminiscent of the Killers' video Somebody Told Me...

They're all amazing in different ways - I don't know how you can give Parachutes and AROBTTH only one star! No way! Parachutes has Yellow, Don't Panic, Shiver, Everything's Not Lost...etc. and AROBTTH - gosh - Clocks, Politik, the Scientist, Amsterdam, GPASUYF, In My Place, Daylight, Green Eyes...I'm just gonna stop otherwise I'll name the whole album!

Parachutes - **** ~ Fragile and brimming with potential, it's the debut album to end debut albums.

A Rush of Blood to the Head - *** ~ Weak in the knees, I expect this to go down as my least favorite Coldplay album of all time, it's a strong whole but very questionable in pieces. Songs need to stand alone and together to make an album truly worthwhile.

X&Y - ***** ~ Ambitious and powerful, this is certainly their best effort to date. The emotional frailty remains, but it's more subtle now against the massive arrangements.

AROBTTH - 3.5/5 - Some songs like Clocks/Green Eyes/GPASOYF just don't do it for me :dozey:

X&Y - 4.5/5 - It has grown on me so much, the only song that I still don't like is Twisited Logic. :(

My favourite is Parachutes because i've discovered them before my friends !

The jacket of the album was attracted that's why I've baught the CD.

And after I was in love of the music, Chris' voice :D
